IRC problems

Hello. I downloaded IRC and installed. It works, but I can't get it to launch thru our ECGN here. Any ideas?

I havent tried to launch it through here, but just open the program, choose the server as "GamesNET" and connect. After connecting, simply type /join #ecgn . Or, if you need support, connect to the server, type /join #ecgn-support . Bam, instant chat!

Jon mentioned that it needs to be fixed, specifically that the link here leads to the ECGN-support room. Might have changed in the last few hours though...

Some can launch it thru ECGN, without downloading IRC. I can't launch thru ECGN either way.

Can launch IRC, just not thru ECGN.

This is message I get trying to launch thru ECGN:

[11:57] *** Failed to launch Ident server : access denied (java.net.SocketPermission localhost:113 listen,resolve)
[11:57] Connecting...
[11:57] Unable to connect : access denied (java.net.SocketPermission irc.gamesnet.net resolve)

Any ideas?

It looks like the applet is not signed or the apple is made for a different ( MS ) java version.
