dont think they make 20 inch lcd with a fast response, i have a 19 inch samsung 930b,8 milisecond response time,400$ +110 for the digital cable,,not 1 problem and no ghosting,,think you need 16 ms or less to avoid ghosting and trailing,,,,DO your homework before you purchase,,i think view sonic has a 19 inch with 5 ms response time
Dell makes a nice one that is 20.1" Widescreen. 2005FPW is the model number I beleive. Its native res is 1600x1050, which is a little weird but games seemt o recognize that resolution. I tried WOW on one a friend had, was very nice. Has a 12ms response, there was no ghosting at all and the colors were vibrant and bright.
I can honestly recommend this monitor. I run it and it is awesome.
Dell 24" Widescreen LCD
The contrast is 1000:1 with a 12ms response time.
The 21" looks good too.

I hate LCDs..i use the big bulky monitors only for gaming. I've seen three CPUs with LCDs and none of them are as good as my 6 year old gateway 17inch pos monitor. Just doesn't feel smooth, and it seems to skip on me all the time when i use someone elses LCD monitors.
Some people will never be able to use a LCD for gaming. It all depends on how your sight is. I use a 17"LCD at work and its fine for what I do there, however that particular one is a 25ms latency and I can see some ghosting. When I tried the Dell 20.1", which is 12ms I didnt see any ghosting whatsoever and I tried it with WOW as well as HL2. Looked great. Colors are a lot better then any CRT I have seen as well.
24" is too big for me personally for gaming, Max I would ever go would be 20" for gaming..

Could have gotten the Olevia LT30HV, 30" widescreen LCD HDTV for that price.
I cant even imagine playing a game on a 30". You would have to sit so far away in order to be able to see the whole thing without having to move your eyes that it would be unrealistic. Plus I am not too sure LCD's made for HDTV are the same as LCD's made for computers.

Check out newegg.com and read the reviews for different LCDs. They are normally very helpful.Originally posted by Jinky

I'm looking for an LCD too because the one I'm using right now is cracked and therefor I can't shoot just about anything atm, haha. I've been looking for 20inch LCD's with a resolution of 1600 and higher and a refresh rate of atleast 85 hz and up. You will probably run into a lot of LCD's that will only have refresh rate of 75 hz. I suggest you get something higher than 75hz. Usually those are more costly though. You also don't want the dot pitch to be too high either, usually about .0255 and lower is good. Not too sure about those numbers I would need to check on that.

TigerDirect.com is a good place to look. Thats a pretty good monitor for its price. Not sure how much you are willing to spend though. There are cheaper ones on that site. I'm getting rid of this 15 inch though and I can't wait.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but from what I've come to understand an HDTV television cannot produce the resolution of either a CRT or an LCD monitor. The Dell 30 inch LCD TV can only muster 1280x768 with a poor 350:1 contrast ratio. The monitor is native 1900x1200 with a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Not to mention the response time at 12ms. The monitor is also HDTV ready with composite input. I looked fairly heavy into it before the purchase and was also in the market for an LCD tv at the time. It looks great even when it's not in it's native resolution and it has a ton of control over the input and display of both 16:9 and 4:3. All the inputs can be interchanged with a fully variable PIP. I still wet myself when I turn it on.
