Banned from server

Today I received RtCW in the mail. I poped in the disc and installed it for the first time. I am a fan of large battles, so I tried to connect to the largest server (which at the time was ECGN). I was just done loading the map when I was kicked. PunkBuster told me that I had been perminatley banned from the server, but I do not know how that is possiable. I have never played RtCW 1.4 before, so I do not know how I could be banned. If someone could please remove this ban, that would be greatley appricated.

This is shot in the dark, but you may just need to enable punkbuster. It is an option on the multiplayer log on screen.
