Stuff like this amazes me. This guy obviously has talent (amazing how fast his hands get going without making a mistake).
I'm assuming he's devoted a lot of his life to this, but what's it going to do for him in the long run? At the most he'll wow the chicks at college parties, at worst he'll collect a few bucks as some bum in the subway in 20 years.
Very few people get a gift of talent like this, and many of those people won't apply their talent (or even get the opportunity) to anything more than some side show.

He'll play music to that level and get the personal fulfillment of such accomplished self-expression. He's quite gifted, obviously (didn't know a Uke could be played like that), and let's hope this video gets his career off to a good start, if that's what he wants. Even if it doesn't, however, nothing lost for him. There are other ends to playing music besides career motives (not the least of which is that it surely brings him happiness)! If he's disciplined enough to be that accomplished, prolly no stopping him in his other pursuits!!

getting that good takes time, but not all the time in the world. many of the musicians i know keep regular day jobs, some even prestegious(sp?) jobs, and still find time to be bad ass musicians. For someone who really loves to make and play music, it's never about the money, just personal happiness (for me it is at least).
btw, that's not a uke, it's a really small classical guitar and it's open tuned (makes it a bit easier to play). none-the-less he's got some skillz.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.

Syribo, i was a little dissapointed though, when i saw the name of the thread was coolest guy ever, i surely thought it was going to be a picture of me.
