What movies are you waiting to see?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

The Passion of the Christ. Kinda, not for the story, but for the directing. I thought Bravehearth was a pretty good movie, and I think it's interesting to try to make a similar historical film, except with Jesus of course. The trailer shows that it looks fairly promising.

Jersey Girl, although I'm afraid Kevin might be going out on a limb with this one.

Hildago, horses are cool. Mortensen is cooler.

I, Robot. I like Asimov, but movies on his books aren't always the best. And Will Smith? Going to have to see about that.

How could I forget Kill Bill Vol. 2?

Kill Bill was the second best film to come out last year, after RotK.

It's funny to look a year or two ago and see the movies we were eagerly waiting for, and how most of them turned out be a big steaming pile of shit.
I did like 'Anchorman' though.

I'm waiting for King Kong, and I still haven't seen Hitchhikers Guide or even the latest Star Wars. Maybe I'll go tomorrow and see if I can find either of those two.

That should be a great movie. I'll go see it. It comes out sometime in December. Don't know the date exactly.

A Scanner Darkly -

Directed by Richard Linklater, with works such as Dazed and Confused, Waking Life, Bad News Bears, The School of Rock, and several more. This looks like another mind trip that I can't wait to see, adapted from the novel by Philip K. Dick, and starring Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Robert Downey Jr, Woody Harrelson, and Rory Cochrane.

"Set in a future world where America has lost the war on drugs, undercover cop Fred (Keanu Reeves) is one of many agents hooked on the popular drug Substance D, which causes its users to develop split personalities. Fred, for instance, is also Bob, a notorious drug dealer. Along with his superior officers, Fred sets up an elaborate scheme to catch Bob and tear down his operation."

I hope they didn't spend more than $200K making this movie: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/walktheline.html

This is one of those "WTF were they thinking?" type of movies.
'Walk the Line' --The story of Johnny Cash.
Johnny Cash was a cool guy and all, but this movie is going to make maybe a couple hundred of grand, max. If they made it less than that, fine, they'll eek a profit, but I would imagine they spent at least 4-5 million. And this thing is set for a 'wide' release too.
