Ebay - Would you buy? (Autocad)

I'm thinking about buying a software package (AutoCad 2004) on Ebay. Some guy is selling some for about $300. I emailed him and he quickly responded. He has NO transaction records...

I'm a bit hesitant to purchase from him. What do you think? The going price everywhere else is $470+ (not including student, upgrade or used products). Which BTW buying this product used is illegal (according to Autodesk, the manufacturer).

Buy or not buy?

Is $170 more worth the piece of mind?

Could very well be legit, and say it is, these pc's of software have registration keys, and no doubt this 1 has a history of being used elsewhere, id pass

Use paypal and you get refund if he doesn't send you the item.

yeah use paypal so you are protected, every seller has to start at 0 sometime but to start out with a $100+ item is risky
