It can act as a multimedia front end, something I'm interested in. I have a PC I set up sort of like TIVO, the only thing that sucks is video out and the interface look like sh*t , especially on a non HiDef TV. The XBOX 360 can connect to a MediaPC and give a nice interface to playback everything, even on a regular TV. They sell devices to do this but they cost about $100-$200, but they have severe problems. For a bit more the XBOX360 will do what I want plus play games!

Seen all there is to see about the 360, e3 press conferance, GC 05 conferance, countless trialersr, and some High res trailers, ign insiders members get access to. Will be buying a hdtv also, have a couple in mind, just debating weather or not to buy a new 05 model out of the states, or try to get one local with a 12 month no payment, no interest.

The 20 gig HD i laughable, will get the 399 one, just because its a bargain.

Am really buying it just for condemed, and full auto, along with later releases.

Am looking forward to what 720p standard in all 360 games, will look like on a native res 720p television.

Be it apple ipod, sony PsP, 360 will be able to interact will all of them, music to and from both, going to both. Good to know.

This one will preform... don't know if iot was Ps3, but one of the two, maybe both, will have tivo like features, not sure at launch, or later systems.

Note they made about 30 failed Ps2's before the actual launch of it, so. ya.

This one is worth the buy.

Goddamn Microsoft!
from the above article:
"One other downfall is that the Media Centre Extender can not play anything bar WMV9 encoded video, even if you do install the DIVX codecs on your main Media Centre system"

WTF? This pisses me off so much. Looks like I WON'T be buying Xbox360, I don't care how sweet it is. F*#$ing M$ douchebags!! DivX isn't a competitor. M$ isn't making or losing money if someone uses their free WM9 encoder or the DivX, or Xvid encoder. Why do they feel the need to crush not only their competition, but other technologies that are just coexisting in the same world as them?

something I said in another thread;

It is basically a vise versa of how both were in competetion last time. The last time PS2 was released before Xbox. When Xbox was released it was a stronger gaming system. This time the tables are turned.

Xbox did not want to release a system called Xbox2 because Sony already had a system called PS2, and they were on their third system, so they came up with a new name all together. Xbox360 is going to be released before PS3 this time. Xbox360 in the fall, and PS3 in the spring. However, PS3 will be the superior system this time.

I've personally like PS better then Xbox. The only reason I'd buy an Xbox is for the Halo games.

If you want to buy one of the systems based on performance get the PS3. Not too sure what PS3 will have for games this time, but I'd imagine they will be getting another Grand Theft Auto for the mix.

Also the PS3will have a "graphics processor/chip thing in the PS3 slightly better than 2 GeForce 6800 Ultras".

That one. Hooked my computer into it, and well, its a damn 50 inch monitor, literally.

Was playing CoD2, FEAR, AoE III, HL2, only anommoly is the smoke in CoD2 is green, other than that, its good.

Tonight on g4 there is a 3 hour special, tune in if you got it.

It's already going for around 1500 on some e-bay sites. What idiots to pay that. :flame:
