well.. i was basically just stating facts.. not making excuses for us adults..
while i am a sort of fitness oriented person. or used to be much more than i am nowadays.. I am still roughly 15-20 pounds overweight. I sit in a cubicle all day.
I do, however, eat very healthy.
It is just a fact that the human body slows down with age. Look around, you see adults struggling with thier weight. It is a national obsession.

I think marriage just happens to occur around the same age/time frame as the slowing of the metabolism.

I was divorced and lost some weight. It actually stayed down for a couple of years until I got seriously involved again. I eat more when I am living with a woman then when I live alone. (and I do like to cook. My wife makes the best pies!)

One of the easiest tips I can give is drop the soda. Depending on how much you weigh, or how much your over weight it makes a big difference. I cut out soda from my diet and lost around 10-15lbs and Im not even that big. 6'2" around 170lbs. A friend of mine cut soda for about 6 months and lost 30lbs but went back to bad habbits. I strictly drink water now, and have for over a year.

i do not know the average weight for an 18 year old male but i weigh 145-150 lbs. i do drink alot of soda which i need to cut out because i usually drink it while skateboarding...but it just dehydrates more, same with energy drinks for me.. never work.. but skateboarding usually keeps the weight off for me?

well if any of u watch the Mind of Mencina he said it best and I paraphrase here:
"Look the point of life is to find something you like to do and be happy to do it. If your fat apparently you found eating is something you like to do. So don't be mad at me for you being fat. Be happy that you found something you like to do and achieve your goals doing it. I didn't force you to eat the whole turkey at Thanksgiving... So why be mad at me... If its Thanksgiving be thankful ... be happy."
