College football

Postby LeVar Burton » Sat Sep 03, 2005 11:31 pm

Any college football fans here? I can't explain in words how happy I was to see OU go down to TCU. They're my new second favorite team. Texas looked sweet as usual even though it was ULALA. One of our freshman runningbacks, Melton, looked like a young Jerome Bettis. I hope they show his two TD runs. V.Y. looked like Heisman material.

This could be Texas' year! :D Both A&M and OU lost today.

OU looked terrible on offense and with Adrian Peterson out with a ankle injury, they could be in serious trouble. Too bad QB Jason White can't come back for his 7th year of eligibility.:P

Yeah, we have to escape Ohio State next week, but I'm not so worried about OU now, even though we lost 5 times in a row and that happened to be my 4 and a half years at UT. OU has serious problems at QB. If TCU gave them that much trouble, imagine what Texas is going to do. I'm really hoping for a USC-Texas national championship.

You and your false sympathy!!!! :tard: "Sorry about last years Rose Bowl" MY ASS!!! :blow:

Still, I'll forgive your falsehood, THIS TIME! Particularly since we are both probably still giddy from the OU game :rotflmao:

Like you I was all for busting out some serious celebrationage when I saw the final score, life is sweet!

After losing our big time WO and CB in the draft Michigan has a little to be worried about, but looking at how well our QB and RB did last year I have high hopes that we can push into the Big Bowl and win it this year. My one concern is how well we can defend the run, I was rather unhappy about that last year...

GO BIG BLUE!

This Monday's UM vs FSU game should be interesting.

Haha. Sorry Doom, but you're right, it was fake sympathy. But seriously, I respect Michigan after that game. I don't think that game got enough credit for what it was. The two schools had over 200 years of combined football history without meeting eachother and then it came down to a field goal in the final seconds. Add in the fact that it included two players (Braylon Edwards and Vince Young) that could be huge stars in the NFL. We just couldn't stop Braylon in that game. I drafted him in fantasy football in the later rounds just because of what he did.

Yeah, Fargin... the whole Florida, Florida St., Miami rivalry is akin to our Texas-OU rivalry. Whoever wins has a real shot at the national championship. I would include A&M in our rivalry, but they've been sucking as of late and dropped a close one at Clemson tonight.
