boring rounds

Postby Sir Loin » Fri Sep 16, 2005 2:49 am

Has anyone noticed how boring the rounds get when there are vehicle/jet/chopper whores capping all the flags with the blackhawk or using a jet to rack up points. Well I have just noticed it. I wont name names, but i think its really, really..HOMO. What happened to pounding the ground, sticking it out players. Does anyone else feel like me?

PS To all you point whores, try close quarters combat. Thats where the fun is at.:freak:

I have found I have the most fun on the city maps. Jets seem invincible to me from the ground so I don't really like the maps with jets.

I was a bit of a chopper whore in BFV (strictly ground pounder in BF42), but on the ground I had the potential between shoulder heat seekers and ground based AA to actually damage or destroy helos and jets. I can still shoot down helos in BF2 but jets are invincible. They are just frustrating.

I wrote this in a fit of rage a while back and never posted it,seems like this is the threadv to post it in,, How many times have you been in a intense ground battle, you gave a tank 2 good shots, hes going down on next shot, you just spot the general area where a sqaud leader is ,your teammates arrive on the scene, its a radical pace, knock down drag out fight, the reason you bought the game, then BOOM ,some smacker plane comes and blows all up,kills 3 ememys, and gets 3 tk's,or whatever, i mean wtf,, is it ok to tk if your in a plane,, i've hunnkered up next to or close to a enemy vehicle thinking the plane wont bomb his own teammate, would he?,,, BOOM ,doesnt matter,The games called Battlefeild ,not (Run for your life from indestructable jets with pilots that dont care what they bomb as long as there in a plane) Is it possable that Strike at Karkland is most popular because of this reason? They should triple the tk minus points for all aircraft tks, Jets ruin the game imo,, Frustrated

Shouldn't this thread be in the BF2 forum instead of the smoking room?

i have at times, just quit the game and switched over to BF42 due to frustration at just being constantly barraged by jets, heli's and artillery. It's just not fun. Sure, there are those that will say, "hide in a better place", etc..

They should change the name from battlefield2 to Duck&Cover2.

Amen, blade...I'm a former Marine arty officer and while I like the arty impact in BF2 I hate that no one on the ground can 'call it in'. It was better in BF1942.

And don't even get me started on jets. Lately, I've found myself just waiting the jet maps out. Too tough to shoot down, too big of bomb load, same guys always in them. Get rid of them and just have helos.

I miss those BF42 games where the opposing team captured all of your flags and all of your teammates were dead except for that one guy sneaking around to the un-guarded base. You'd watch him in player cam to see if he would make it or not.

Today, the commander just points out where that last guy is and the game is over. Sucks.

I feel a post from someone in particular coming very soon.

Remember Iwo Fargin? Iwo always came down to that last guy running for Saribachi or the airfield.

I remember playing BBY in CAL. On the whole they were better than us, but our last guy was able to sneak back and cap the airfield, resulting in our win!

BF2 is to fast paced IMO. Its not as "intelligent" as BF1942.

Has anyone tried finding a server with commander turned off? Wonder how that would be,
