i'm looking forward to people actually being able to do medical research without somone religious saying its morally wrong to try and help people that are alive in the real world.

Water would be the best bet for using fuel because in science water can produce some of the most energy compared to alot of other substances...The question is how are they going to convert that energy

But but but then what happens when we run out of water :lol:

wouldnt want to try using water for that too. water is one of the key things to human surival. We can only use gas for one thing; machines. we don't drink it. you'd need to find a way to have it man made in order for it to work. but I say electricity will be the fuel.

Shit,we wrap the whole house with DuPont Tyvek house wrap and tape every crack and seam.I could go on and on,This design will be here for years to come and keep improving.Materials will chage but thats it for next 50 years,to easy to build..

It funny how people always envision conventional houses being replaced by domes or something. The look has stayed they same for so long.
I was thinking along the lines of Insulate Concrete Forms, steel frames maybe. Something where the amount of wood used in a home decreases radically. Or, maybe someone comes up with artificial wood. Not particles or strands of ordinary wood pressed together, but start-from-scratch artificial wood. I think(?) the primary ingredient in wood is cellulose, which you can get from any form of plant. Maybe houses will totally remain traditional, but built with great big attractive planks of man-made hardwoods.

I think the homes of the future will be prefabbed in a factory. In pieces of course. It will take 6 to 8 weeks to build your house on site. Instead of 6 to 8 months. And the skilled labor will be less needed. Skilled labor for the building trade is becomming hard to find. This will drive the prefab homes.

I also think there will be no paper money or checks in 50 years or so. Maybe even no need to walk, drive or got to a bank.

Good call on the paper currency. Switching over to 100% online is good bet. Maybe not even carrying a credit/debit card. Maybe just using our thumbprint on a scanner or something.
Also, has anyone else noticed more and more supermarkets switching over to that system where you ring yourself up at the cash register, no register operator involved?

cavalierlwt: everything but the 2x4 has changed in last 100 years,lol Tree Farms in Canada will be there for a long time competing with there low price product
I seen on tv,a helicopter bike that seemed pretty safe and that someone was working on a satteliet tracking system that would keep you on the sky road
