Industrial is allot of square waves. TO over simplify it. Allot of industrial music will hurt your ears if you listen to it for to long.

Goth music.

I actually like it. Think NIN, Skinny Puppy, and KMFDM, to name a few of the more popular industrial bands.

No, they are just crackheads. :) Industrial is mainly made through synthesizers. Bunnykill here is nothing but also. THe only differnce is a few voice samples that are mixed and remixed.

actually some of it is kind of unique. If i remember correctly skinny puppy used almost all live instruments, but ran them through a computer and had a "computer guy" as one of the band members. Early NiN was mostly all real intruments, even some of the shit that didn't sound like it. This bunnykill reminds me of industrial mixed with some trance/house shit. but the guitar reminds me of later ministry.

I find this obsessive need to categorise music bordering on the insane. Music is music and so long as it's good who gives a shit what you call it.

I think the search for new names for musical genres is just a way of excusing the fact that it's shit. Oh you didn't like my song, well that's ok it's new wave, progressive, barbershop, industrial, it's not to everyones taste, you just don't get it is all...

It's like modern art, the shitter the artist the more elaborate the speigl that goes with it.

If it's really as good as they think it is, it will trancend any borders or brackets you want to shove it into.

Ha. YOu need to categorize it so you can find what you like. I can't stand rap or country. But I like heavy metal, techno, trance, industrial and DNB

Why confine yourself? I general I don't like reggae but that doesn't stop 'redemption song' being once of the finest songs ever written. You should listen to a tune with an open mind, you'd be surprised what you find.

But trance is fucking talentless button pressing shit :D

I find the genra of rap offensive. "BEAT YOUR WOMAN> KILL A COP" type thing. Not really singing, not really poetry, just a bunch of bilionare black people ranting about how poor they are. Loud fucking bass that anyone can do with a free midi synthsizer... Trance to get something that sounds good you got to be skilled with a syntheziser.

Take out drunks and your woman leaving you, and you dont' have country anymore :rotflmao:

As for reggea I can't understand what they are saying.
"There's a snake in your grassman!"
Me:"What?"
"There's a koobla in your poobla"
Me:"What?":rotflmao:
I have heard some reggae that sounded nice, but not enough for me to look for more. :)

I listen to a lot of different things. I can listen to deathmetal/hardcore to emo/indie to dave mathews band haha. I also listen to some rappers. not all rappers rap about killing hoes with glocks and bustin caps in cops faces, so get your shit right lordshard :P. I like some of sean pauls songs too if that counts for new reggae. buffalo soldier is a classic. classic rock....ac/dc, iron maiden. I listen to music with an open mind.

I used to feel the same way till i realized it pissed my brother off to catagorize music. then i was like, oh well fuck it, if you're trying to describe what a band generally sounds like it's hard not to catagorize. Like if dude had said "this is some new country" i would've left it alone cause no NEW country is good. or if someone asks me what my band plays, it's not really heavy metal, but more like jam metal - metal riffs with me just jammin over them (cause we're slackers).
