new James Bond picked

I would have like to have seen Ewan McGregor take a swing at this role. I know he may be hard to picture, but he actually has that innate coolness that's been missing since Sean Connery left the role. James Bond should be that cool dude that crashes some badguy's party, beats him at his favorite game, screws his wife/girlfriend, then steals his favorite boat/car to get away. Ewan McGregor has that cocky coolness.

Good pick. but it will most likely be the same 'explosions and stunts' with choppy editing them together.
They need to go back to the bare baones, back to the days of From Russia With Love. More of a Bourne movies, than the modern day Bond movies.
Clive Owen would have been the best pick, but he wanted nothing to do with it.

I'll check it out. I agree, Bond needs to go back to his roots. The lone agent, infiltrating deep into the bad guy's organization and wrecking it...and of course screwing the badguy's wife/girlfriend, drinking his best booze, and then blowing up his secret lair!
You know what really hurt the Bond series? The fall of the Soviet Union. Ruskies made good bad guys. Now all he can really do is fight terrorist, and it can't be Middle Eastern terrorists every movie or people will put up a stink. So it's down to a bunch of 'James Bond stops the terrorist plot to detonate a WMD' movies.

Here is how i'd like to see a new Bond Plot go:
Scene Open
Bond walks into M's office in MI8.
Bond: M, i'm relieving you of your duties.
M: WTF!
Bond pulls out his Walther and shoots M.
Bond: (pushes Intercom) Moneypenny, M has fallen and she cannot get up. Bring the lube.
Scene Close
