Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood

Postby King » Fri Oct 14, 2005 10:50 pm

Just bought and beat Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood. Decent game but more of the same from the original. I liked Road to Hill 30 but the newest game as far as story goes was pretty weak. However, the Skirmish Mode is pretty cool.

Basically, Skirmish Mode is basically sequences in which you have to take an objective and defend the area from coutnerattack. There are other scenarios like "Tour of Duty" where you do every Skirmish level without dying.

All in all, its a decent game, but i'd suggest you go and wait until its like 20 bucks at your local EB Games or Best Buy.

There is also plans for a 3rd game in the series... but if its anything like EIB then i'd wait to purchase it.

EDIT***

I originally purchased this for my XBOX, i love the damn thing and the game was unplayable. It played like Super Mario Bros with a thousand goombas on the screen, slow, choppy and seizeretic. I exchanged it for a PC version and had minimal dificulty with it. Sound cut out in the middle of the game prompting me to update my audio drivers.

Unless you have XBOX live and can download any patches or info for the game, PC is the way to go.

Thanks for the review King.

I really enjoyed Road to Hill 30, my only complaint was that the enemy wouldn't try to out flank and counter most of your movements, even when you didn't have them suppressed.

The enemy does exactly that in EIB. They anticipate the flanking manuever and move to either counter it, or retreat and attack from farther back. This obviously renders your attack longer and more risky being in their sights.
