is this a PB problem ? Server problem ?...
It is definitely my problem.
The Duplicate CD error only happens after heavy lagg, when RTCW disconnects, and i hit the reconnect button.
I have to wait 2 minutes before i can reconnect.
Then everything seems kool?
Any ideas...

32 views so far, and no comments?
has no one experienced this problem before ?
Did i put this thread in the wrong place...
any comments from the admins ?

Your duplicate cd is caused by lag. You said it goes away 2 minutes after you're disconnected. That would be the server PB timing you out after no response from your end.
To help figure out the root cause of the lag, you need to do some traceroutes. The cause could be any number of things from spy/adware to firewall issues to network related problems.
Were you ever running with no problems and now you are having issues or have you always had issues?
edit: whoops, thought this was a bf2 issue but my advice stands regardless.

Eric....if the server lags out and you disconnect and rejoin right away, you actually did that quicker that PB could update the player list, so it detects 2 rainbow erics with the same key, kicking the intruder, which really is you....the solution? you already discovered it....give it 2-3 mins

the server's been quite laggy for me too, even when my ping is as low as 20.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.
Server needs either
a.) better hardware
- More RAM
- More Processing
- Faster Hard Disk
b.) more trunk
- a phatty T1 or DS3 wouldn't hurt
c.) all the above
I doubt the big D. will throw down out of his own pocket for any on a game whom most claim is dead so, i suppose we'll all just have to 'deal' with it.

It rarely has more than 40 players on it so why not drop the player count to 50. Wouldn't that help?

I think that having 32 spots open per team, is one of the features that keeps me coming back to this server.
My guess is as the player count goes up (actually connected players), so does the network pipe requirements.
But the biggest problem with large number of players is the disparity of ping , between them. I am not sure but when +200 ping players joining in with a bunch of 50 ping players causes the server to equalise the game play.
And of of packet loss is the biggest problem for the server.
If i am off on my guess...some network admins should set me straight. ( i am an ex network admin... turned machanic)
