-51 percent of respondents believed humans were created in their present form by God. A further 30 percent said their creation was guided by God. Only 15 percent thought humans evolved from less advanced life forms over millions of years.
Ask the same questions in Britain your'llget very different results, you're be hard pressed to find someone who believes that creation story. It because despite the influences in America, people over here have so much more freedom to chose there beliefs. America, where u get sent to jail for teaching the theory of evolution in half the country.

Here we go. By no means am I a science or bible expert. But I think it's funny that science is so far from learning any of their questions. And yes, I do believe in the bible that and God created all. I also believe that humans will never find the true answer in how/when we were created. I have a few questions...i'd like to know all of your opinions.
notice that i am not trying to persuade anyone from joining my band wagon on beliefes
1) Do you think humans can create? If so then how?
2) Was we just once a tiny atom that evolved?
3) How was we created from an explosion?
4) Can things be destoyed or manipulated?
5) Do you believe in ghost?
I post back what you believe when I return. If you can find me some interesting links that back up your believes or what not. Yes they have websites out their that have your believes and go a lot further in depth than we can reach here. Thx!

1) Humans will be able to create, right now we simply arent technologically advanced enough, im not a scienetist so i dont now how, but if we can change the structure of atoms (which we can) we can do this, nothin is impossible, just improbable and impractical.
2) No, Matter cannot be created or destroyed, only chnaged, when u blow something up, no atoms are destryoed, they are simply scattered, there bonds with each other broken.
3) Ah yes the big bang, i believe, the evidence for it is that all the galaxies are moving further apart, we know this because of red shift, which is when a source of light (or sound) moves away from us, the wavelengths of the light in its spectrum are longer than if the source was not moving, it is only known as red shift for light. This suggests that the whole universe is expanding from 1 place, where the big bang happened. How the big bang jappened however is more of mystery, we can only make educated scientific theories, one is that there was a big soup of Matter, dark matter, anti matter, etc... and when just 2 of these different substances collided, BANG, how this got there, it could have been the remnance of a previous universe or it was always there, this is possible because Time and Space are the same thing, and since the was no "space" there was no time. What happened after the big bang, we'll for the first few million years, the universe was soooo HOT not even atoms could form, eventually they did form and bonded with each other and formed the first stars, these early stars were highly unstable and only lasted a few years if they were lucky, eventually more stable stars were forrmed, and then from the dust of those first starts, planet began to form, most solar systems would have been overcrowded with planets, and so they would collide with each other a merge, some would be completely destroyed. Our moon was a planet that collided with us, and had the potential to support life itself.
WOW, i went on bit there.
4) As i said earlier matter cannot be destroyed or created only manipulated.
5) Yes i believe in ghost there is too much evidence for, my ancestor owned the most haunted house in Britain, before it burned down (try to find out which one). I believe some of these ghosts are human spirts, but others are being from another realm, another dimension.

1) Humans can create, chemicals, life(ie colononig), but not matter.
2) No. All life on this planet was once in the form of single cell organizims. Single cell and atoms are two very different things.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_evolution
3) we were not created from a big bang. Read Alofwar's link on the big bang. How this relates to us? Well the stuff we are made of comes from stars. The heavy elements that we are made of (calcium, carbon, iron) are created within the intense reactions deep inside stars.
4) Yes things can be destoyed or manipulated. Except matter like Alofwar said.
5) No. We have no sole, no spirit, no mind. All we are is a lump of eletrified matter (your brain) being carried around by a biomechanical machine.

Hey if you are going to have a law like that then you have to respect everyone's "beliefs".
Just because someone is a witch or believes in Satan doesn't mean they are any less credible than someone who believes in Buddha, Allah, Jesus, or Brahman. (the list could go on).

I hate getting involved in religious discussions, but what you just said is completely untrue. No one has been sent to jail for teaching evolution since the Scopes trial of the 1920s. Infact teaching evolution is required in every US school district.
In my own personal opinion I don't see why religion (at least the Christian religion) and evolution can't coexist. Even the Catholic church has said that evolution does not contradict the points made in the new testament.
hhmmm, true, true,
I mean in the bible belt, where in school kids are taught the creation story as fact, and evolution isnt even mentioned.

1) I think we won't ever be able to create or destroy. Sure we create metals and plastics and what not now by manipulating their atoms. But we will never be able to create an atom...only duplicate it or what not. Cloning isn't creating it's duplicating. The zombie dogs were not created by us.
2) Arent single cell organisms made of atoms?
3) I didn't read all of the big bang website given because I didn't have time. But I got some questions about it. I don't know much about it. And don't believe in it. Are we the center for the universe sense everything is moving away from us? Why is the earth so greatly put together for human beings and the other living creatures on it? Water and all the materials that come in handy for our ever day life? How many other planets can we live on?
4) Agreed...but we still can't give life to something. Only duplicate it.
5) Ghost I don't believe in. I'd like to read more on this subject. Links please.
Thanks all for your opinions.

According to astronomers, even if you look at the most conservative estimates, based on what we have found out in our own solar system, and the more than 100 planets in other solar systems already just discovered in the last 5-10 years... there is the strong possibility of millions of earth-like planets out there in the universe.. capable of sustaining life.
(sorry for the run-on sentance).

1) Agreed
2) Yes single cells are made of atoms. Everything is made of atoms. Except atoms which are made up of protrons, netrons and electrons. You asked if we evolved from being a tiny atom. Atoms don't evolve. single cells do. In theroy.

3) Everything is moving away from our Galaxy. This does not mean that it is the center. Imagine a group of people standing in a mass. They all start walking in a stright line in every direction away from a table in the center of the group. If you were one of theses people everyone would be getting further away from you as you walked. Everyone is getting further from the table and you. This is why the red shift has led to the Big Bang(the table) and expanding Univirse(the people walking away) theories.
Also you asked why is the earth put together so well for us and life, That is the wrong question. You should ask why is all life on earth made so well to live on earth. Water is not here for us to use. We use it because it was here. What made us use it God or evolution is the question we will answere on page 4,000,000,000 of this thread

How many planets can we live on. Open to debate Look here

I don't believe in ghosts, just thought I'd throw that in. Speaking of science and religion, there's interesting concept in quantum physics that almost point to religion. Too much to go into in a short post, but check out 'In search of Schrodinger's cat' by John Gribbin. Don't be thrown off by the idea of a book about advanced physics, it's broken down (no math needed) into terms a high school reader can understand. It talks about some very freaky shit, in terms of the nature of reality. The scary thing is, this stuff isn't just crazy theoretical stuff, this the science that drives lasers, nuclear bombs and such, very real, and kind of unsettling.
Interesting quotes about quantum physics from the scientist who were pioneers in the field:
"God does not play dice" - Einstein
"I dont like it, and I'm sorry I had anything to do with it"-Erwin Schrodinger"
"Anyone who is not shocked by Quantum theory, has not understood it." - Niels Bohr
