Why is the U.S. so full of non-believers?

1) Do you think humans can create? If so then how?
What do you mean by "create"?
2) Was we just once a tiny atom that evolved?
No. Atoms do not evolve. Combinations of atoms, molecules, combine into complex structures and systems which interact with each other in a means to reproduce--what we understand as life. Life evolves as the interactions with other life and the environment exert their influence over many, many generations.
3) How was we created from an explosion?
"God said, let there be light," and with a Big Bang he created matter and energy... this matter coalesced, combined, cooled, and expanded into our universe.
4) Can things be destoyed or manipulated?
Difficult to answer. Basic physics says matter and energy are interchangeable, but cannot be destroyed or created. Quantum mechanics, however, tells us that particles are constantly popping in and out of existence.
"Manipulated" depends on what you mean. At the moment, I am manipulating my keyboard.
5) Do you believe in ghost?
Not sure. No scientific evidence has been produced, yet the idea of ghosts is as old as mankind.
Personnally, I am not sure if God exists or not. But I don't think a Biblical understanding of creation is in conflict with modern science.
After all, the Bible is supposedly the inspired word of God. Imagine God trying to show a human, esp of more primitive times, how creation occurred... one would expect the human to understand it in metaphor.
God said, let there be light (the Big Bang).
He created the stars, then the earth, then the plants and the animals. (That's the right order.)
God created man from the soil (a good metaphor for evolution).
Now, whether you believe in God is one thing. Whether you believe he had a guiding hand in evolution is another.
And you also have to question, what is meant by being created "in his image." After all, God is not a human, as Christians understand him. So what exactly does it mean to be "in his image"?
Anyway, there are many, many Americans who follow a similar line of thinking... they are both believers in science, and in God, and don't believe there is a conflict... only mysteries to be explored and better understood.

I mean in the bible belt, where in school kids are taught the creation story as fact, and evolution isnt even mentioned.
As hat rack pointed out, you are again wrong. Evolution is taught in EVERY US SCHOOL DISTRICT. Yes there are some fundamentalist christians that don't like it, but they often have their own schools anyway.
Im not sure if God exists, but if he does he would be all wise etc... and so would notwant us to waste our lives worshipinghim, he would want to be making the most of it, also i believe any religion that says you will go to hell if dont follow our teaching is trying to scare u, this is why if i did join a religion it would be something like Buddahism, but me joining a religion is the most unlikely thing in the universe.

Not to be mean, I'm sure you're capable of writing better when you take the time. I'm just having difficulty understanding you.

That's nice and everything iff anything you said made sense or was somewhat objective.

I really don't understand how belief in God and acknowlegement of evolution cannot co-exist. The bible does not have to be taken so damn LITERALLY.
How do you decide what parts of the bible to take literally and what parts to not take literally?
The same way you decide which ones to totally disregard, as most Christians ignore all the old testament rules.
I suppose theologically you could say the creation story must be interpreted instead of taken literally in order to jive with what we know through science.
But for the rest, it is a good question. Is Jesus just a metaphor? There are passages in the Christ story that scholars tell us are not to be taken literally. The forty nights in the desert: we are told "forty night" is an expression for a long time. That's really just an idiom, though, the story is still understood to be true.
We should understand the historical contents of the Bible in combination with what we know from other historical sources. From other sources we know Jesus was a real person, and that other characters and events in the book are corroberated.
After all, even if the Bible is the word of God, it comes through many human hands, and there are numerous other sources of knowledge that can be used to better understand it.
