Thanksgiving is a traditional feast here in the US. It is held in honor of the Native Americans who saved the Pilgrims from starvation in the early colonial days.
Historically, it's not very accurate of reality and some Native Americans object to it because it hides the reality of the injustices done to them as a people.
Regardless of how you view it, the reality today is that it is a day to spend with your family with a traditional meal of turkey and 'all the fixin's'. It is a day when a lot of people donate time and money to feed the homeless and/or invite non-family members into their homes to share the meal. It is a day of peace and reflection on family and friends.
So.. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
