As for if it is ok or not. I know my father was a little loser then my mother on the topic. He would tell me dirty jokes or whatnot. (not when I was six but maybe when I was 13 or so) But if one bad word came out of my mouth in front of him and my mother, he would squash that quick. I don't care about adults doing it. They are just words. SavageParrot said it best.
Funny story related to this topic kinda.
My brother's and I went to a Carolina Panthers vs NY Jets football game in North Carolina. We are from LI NY. As we were leaving the stadium after the game. My one brother was talking a bit and saying f-in this, f-in that. He was a little drunk. And some southern guy walking next to us turns and says, "typical New Yorker f-in everything"I think he watched to many mafia movies or something.

Hmm.. I hear (understand) what you're saying. BUT. Let's talk about habits, habitual things like swearing, society and one's place in society.
Most people want their children to gravitate towards the upper levels of soceity where one's lingual habits are key. If you want your children to grow into the bottom level of society - by all means, don't curb the language. If you allow children to curse up a blue streak, they then become accustomed to it, it becomes a habit to talk that way and they are forever marked at a certain rung of society. It also becomes tiresome to listen to someone whose vocabulary consists of all swear words.
That's why I said in the first post so long as they understand when to be polite. I'm not talking about slapping your boss on the back and calling him a cunt but shouting fuck when you drop a mug on your toe in your own house is a complete non-event. To be honest it's a non-event in any office as well so long as you don't have visiting dignitaries.
Judging a person on their language is just pointless snobbery; the upper levels of your society sre pretentious twats. I personally know the sons of at least 3 lords (technically one was a viscount) and while one of them is an arsehole the other 2 are some of the most foul mouthed wankers I have the pleasure of knowing (And I know they'd take that as a compliment).
It's a common misconception that good manners comes from a strict adherance to a given set of rules. In reality good manners is simply about tailoring the way you act to fit in with the company around you. So if your guest has his elbows on the table for gods sake don't tell your family to remove theirs because although technically correct it would be a put down to your guest. Nothing breaks up the feel of a good dinner party more than some one chiding a member of their family for doing something wrong.
So my point about the swearing is this. It's not that kids language which makes what he says in that video bad. What makes it bad is the complete lack of respect for his mother. The swearing is simply indicative of that disrespect as he undoubtedly knows that using those words will upset her.
Imagine how his social life is going to be when he treats his own Mother like that, he will never keep a job because he has no respect for authority,it all stems from poor parenting. Lazy parents create lazy kids. If he has no respect for his Mother, how is he going to have respect for a wife or girlfriend? It's not all about the cussing, it's about lack of respect. Shows he has no respect for himself or the people around him. Imagine this childs future. He has not been raised to show respect for authority, or himself. He will never be able to keep a job. Because that Mother (I use the term loosely) was too lazy to raise that child to treat people with respect (deserving or not) we as a society will be stuck paying the bills for another welfare recipient or prison inmate. Let this be a lesson to all of us as parents. If we dont take the time to teach our children respect our future will be laced with foul mouthed, welfare recipient, prison inmates that will be sucking the life (and money)out of the rest of us. We will be too old to defend ourselves and too broke paying taxes on their prison stays and welfare checks. I say we all take up stock in Ivory and wash out the mouth of every foul mouthed child. Then we find the parents and have a good ol fashioned arse whoopin party. The kind where people weren't afraid to discipline there children due to repercussions from CPS. Or i we can all have this attitude...F**k THAT B**CH MOM. YOU KNOW THAT LITTLE BASTARD IS GOING TO F***ING GROW UP TO BE A BAD A** GAMER. WE F***IN NEED HIM HOME. F**K THAT B**CH IS DOING US A FAVOR. ROCK ON YOU C**T! RAISE THAT FOUL MOUTHED, CHOCOLATE MILK LOVIN SON OF A B***H TO HATE AUTHORITY SO HE CANT KEEP A F***IN JOB. BY HIM A COMPUTER AND LEAVE HIM THE F**K ALONE.W**RE.

I'm terrible with kids (mostly because I can't stand 'em) and I discipline other people's kids myself if they do something wrong to me, like spill my soda on my jacket (which had a fur lining), which happened when I saw Harry Potter last week. Neither the parents nor him even said "sorry", so I dragged the kid out to the concession stand by his shirt collar and demanded that he pay for a new soda. Then I demanded that the parents pay for my jacket, and it was pretty expensive.
Moral of both stories is that kids are retarded and you should never have them.

I am so offended. Your comments about something you have no idea about is making you look like a twat. And if i was that mom who's kid you drug out i would of whipped your ass for touching my child. As for abortion..don't talk about something you have never been through or know shit about. You don't want kids then dont have them. I will forgive you since your only 18 and obviously not an adult yet by your comments. Think before you speak.

Wow, thats little retard is a job for supernanny, its a tv show over here, where some expert on child behaviour goes to families with out of control kids like that and sorts them out.
That boys mother should get him that chocolate milk, AND THROW IT IN HIS FACE.
There is definately a growing problem with that sort of behaviour, the problem is that when the odd bad behaved kid grows up and has kids of their own, they in turn raise that child badly and they end up even worse. Its one reason y i favour the reintroduction of mandatory national service training, as it was in the 50's. Their was a another t.v show called "Bad Lads Army" where 30 or so covicted 18-26 year olds do 4 or 6 weeks of 1950's British National service training, and damn it sorts them out, from CHAVS to CHAPS its unbelievable.
Of course if that fails i got a better solution
We line them all up in a field and BOMB THE BASTARDS!!!!

Basil: Well you started it
German tourist: No we didn't
Basil: Yes you did, you invaded Poland

It's obvious how that kid was raised by the mere fact you didn't here him getting slapped upside the head the moment he disrespected his mom.
The truth is, like B said, is that his mom was probably too lazy to put in the effort (which is a lot) to raise the kid correctly and/or with manners.
That kid would be without his xbox for a long, long time if he were mine. Who the hell buys thier 9 yr old kid a $400. gaming system anyway? Jeez talk about never going to know the value of things. Spoiled brat.

thanks to Spirit of Me for the sig!
My mom wasn't perfect, but I certainly never talked to her that way. I can't believe it went on that long. It should have ended with, "get the milk yourself if you want it." If he kept that trash up, it would have been XBox off, go to your room, and stay there for at least 15 min. That she kept up an argument with him is her first mistake. There's a time for discussion, and it's after discipline. At least at nine you can still manhandle them. You have to teach them respect at a young age. Wait till he's a teenager, he'll be uncontrollable!

Am I the only one that couldn't stop laughing toward the end when the guy recording was zoomed in on the the face so you see the mouth moving? as for the kids behavior, he's only gonna get worse. The other thing that always bothers me when the topic of cursing and first person shooters come up is that its OK to play a game where you shoot and kill people but you shouldn't curse?

I am ok with teh fact that people cuss a lot in games, including myself but not over and over again. As long as they don't make the gameplay bad, I can tolerate it.
