Questionaire

Postby SavageParrot » Tue Dec 06, 2005 3:50 pm

It's a sad day when happy penguin regularly has twice the number of players as beach. But lets face it beach is pretty boring (OMG HE SAID WHAT?) and a stock map rotation IMO would really liven the place up and maybe bring back some more people back in. Nothing fancy just the game of the year maps that everyone has :)

I quit because the game got boring in itself. Specially one map. And to honest HP's admins are not as strict. <-- Don't YELL AT ME. just stating my opinon. plus prolly half their players got banned from here in the first place :D

/me sneaks over from the BF2 section

I never could understand the fascination with playing just one, single map all the time... not just for RtCW, but for any game.

/me slinks back to the BF2 area

Yeah I think that's what's given me a whole new perspective. Differnet maps means more room for strategy and less overall lameness.

I like playing different maps at times. It's cool when MAA gets on and plays 3 or 4 different maps in a row for a couple of hours.

I've noticed, however, that when MAA does this, the player count often drops off, often it drops a lot.

thats because we say its 24-7 beach.....how 'bout we do rotation and call it "And now for something different", it drops off because they signed on to beach to play beach, what if we give them some message with 5 minutes to go or something that shows up CP style????

Me thinks maybe you should set up times when people know there will be a map rotation, as opposed to just roatating the maps without any forewarning.

The player count usually drops because people don't have the maps. Provided you don't use bizarre maps it would soon come back as people realised what the score was...
