I hear that slaughter is one of those Enron guys who pulled out early. 7K to him is like a quarter to me lol ;) we all put the money into perspective of how much we make not him, when I found out he's in the upper tax bracket I figured we should give him a break hehe

Is sex with the wife worth $7,000? You can have it all year. What is she gonna do that's so different tonight? YOu really don't have to answer that, but i hope it's worth $7,000. i would of bought my Jeep, i'm not into that jewelry stuff.

that's why you use an escort service. I don't do it, but my army buddy does cause not only does he not have "game" he's only here for like 2 weeks and being a soldier around all men for monthes, he don't care where or who he gets it from....anyway escorts are generally clean (and more expensive) than regular ole' street whores.

So before she goes she asks to borrow my check book, because like always we buy for about 20 people a year, this year is special tho, because its our babies first xmas.....so I'm unloading the car, which is full everywhere through out, So just making a joke, I say God you must have spend a least 15 grand, not smiling back, she says, ummmm really about 16 grand. I almost fell over. Her excuse was since we never really give each other gifts on xmas, we give surprises all year long, she decided to give herself my xmas present to her early, and bought a 5 carat tennis bracelet, I still wondered how in the world she spend 9 grand on everyone else tho. Nicce she said she'll make it up tonight!!!!!!

lol Miranda's brother coming in 9 months lol

no way I pull and pray lol

<speechless>

Did you know your wife was capable of this? You might want to think about keeping the bank account balance a little lower, and invest the rest in stock, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, baseball cards, Playboy magazines, ..., anything but leave the money where she can get at it!

So you got another on the way? Damn bro slow down eh? Give Mrs Slaughter a rest.

If she has enough energy to spend 16k then she doesn't need a rest. (and you don't have enough kids to keep her out of trouble yet Slaughter!) But good for you that you don't have to freak out about it.

I really don't care, in my 20's I struggled, in my 30's met my wife, and started to do much better, she is a nurse with a msn (masters in nursing), and works full time. I am a salesman for TruGreen ChemLawn, selling residential lawn care, I finished 2 in a region of 650 sales reps, total rev. I sold was 850,000 bucks, with a nice base, and 15% of my total Revenue sold, you do the math. So she, Miranda, and i can get what ever we want. Just love the fact I don't mind she can spend that much without it being a nightmare
So you are spending a fifth of your anual income on christmas? Something is wrong with that! If Bill Gates did that everyone in the USA would have a brand new computer with 7800 Ultras and dual processor-dual core athlon 64s with 4 GB of ram! :rotflmao:

its actually about 7% of both of our yearly income which really isn't that bad. I save about 55% a year, and yes trash alot of it is in stocks ect...

My favorite line my Dad told me was If you can't buy it with cash, then you do not need it.

Another good one he said was Always pay yourself first.

To start making so dough, save at first about 5 percent of yearly salary, then start paying off thoses bills, now with the monthly payments you are saving now, start saving that as well......you will be debt free in no time.

my last comment is get a job that you love, and the money is always just a bonus, it will come without even trying, because loving your job and excelling will come with time

;)

Now thats a present from slaughter

Great advice Slaughter!

Congratz on the great job, wife and kids. All you young lads and ladies out there.. LISTEN TO SLAUGTHER! Pay your bills with CASH, Pay YOURSELF first, SAVE for the future.

If you do these things you will do well in life. Pity it took me so long to learn these valuable lessons, but I'm well on my way using them now! :D

I don't buy anything unless I can pay using cash. That includes cars, boats, etc. As an added bonus, you can use the cash to get a great bargain! Many people lower their prices for CASH$$$

If you feed an animal once they always come back expecting to be fed again and again and again..

Women are similar. You let them spend that kind of money once and they will spend again and again and again.

If he was the only one working then that would be true. But she works so its equal. Doesn't matter who makes more, they are a family and the income is both. As long as bills are paid and kids are fed, there is nothing wrong with spending it if you have it.

I have met and known way too many people from all walks of life, happy and miserable, rich and poor, that can tell you that statement is about the furthest from the truth as you can get.
