It's pretty soon to be making a film isn't it. Profits going to their families?

It would be nice if all the families of flight 93 got a major chunk of the profits, at least enough to set each one up of life.
On 9/11 the feeling was like 'is it this easy to just kill planeloads of people, is there no way to fight back?'
When 93 went down and rumors started circulating that the passengers fought the hijackers, I was happy nearly to point of tears. I was sad they crashed, but happy and relieved to know they didn't go like sheep to a slaughter. The Passengers on the other planes had no idea that was going to happen.

It's been 4+ years, they've already made a TV movie about it. The only reason they waited this long is they were probably trying to figure out a way to make the movie and *not* have to give a chunk of profits to the victims families.

This may seem a little off topic, but I was thinking about what they are planning to build at the site of the WTC. This may seem crazy, but keep an open mind: rebuilding the Twin Towers exactly as they were (except for some safety upgrades) would go a long way to restoring a sense of normal in this country. Nearly 3000k dead was horrible, but we've aborbed it over time. Not seeing the 'correct' skyline of NYC though is a constant wound opener. Some would say, that's how it should be, we shouldn't forget, blah blah. We won't forget. Rebuilding them says 'hey, we're still here, we going forward, life continues' Building something different feels like a compromise, like they took something away and it stayed that way. So, that's just my .02, for the mental sanity of this country, build them like before, even if they're half empty, I don't care.

The Freedom tower sucks. I hate to say it but it's true.

Freedom Tower is by far one of the gayest man-made structures ever to be conceived.

They should have just rebuilt the WTC as it was. Nothing would have been a bigger "FUCK YOU" to Al Qaeda than that.

Dr. Cav says, rebuild the Twin Towers and let the healing begin!

I have no desire to see the movie. 4+ years is a long time to live in the past. Plus i have no desire to see either a trumped up version of what really happened or to see a studio deface the heroics and bravery of the people on board.

I don't exactly agree with making a movie out of the tragety that happened, only 5 years ago...Noone rushed out a movie on Pearl Harbor 5 years after it happened I see no reason to do one now...I apsolutely agree with Kingofbeers on this one...I kinda of agree about making the trade center towers the same but, I don't think people want to be reminded of what happened, so I think I like it better that we move on and build something newer and maybe even better, or bigger? But I think they should let the people of New York make these decisions, when I have never even been to New York or anywhere near the East coast, my oppinion means little...:violin:

Your opinion means the same as everyones. I'm not from New York but i am an American and it hit me just like everyone else. Fear, sadness, pissed, and angry. I cried. I still do when i see videos or hear songs that was made from it. I went to NY a month ago. I saw the deep whole left in the ground, i stood there realizing how many people died right where i was standing. In Battery Park is one of the statues that used to stand in front of the Trade Centers, you can see the damage from the buildings falling on it. I just stood there and stared at it. Seeing it on t.v. doesn't compare to seeing it for real. The feelings are alot stronger when you're there. Everyone has a say no matter where you are from. It affected us all.

I saw the thing you are talking about... before the WTC attacks and after they moved it. I had no idea that it had survived and was kind of glad to see it moved. I only noticed after hanging around mulling whether i wanted to go see the statue of liberty for the second time.

It was nice to see that it had survived and was still being displayed.
