I quit when they outlawed camoflage and red paint, told me my black Tippmann 68 Special was bad, and started making everyone play with giant inflateable toys.

Now I do hardcore airsoft military simulation:

Yeah. My team owns the Deuce, but we rented the chopper for helo insertions. Most of my boys are current or ex-military.

More pics here, and in the root directories.

IMO every start up paintball dealer sells TippMaNN's, they sell them at Walmart/ Dicks sporting goods, I wouldnt be suprised if they start selling them at you local 7-11.

They are to paintball what Dell is to PC's. Just your basic setup. Cant do anything spectacualr with them, maybe add some more ram (blow back trigger) but they arent made to do more than survive a beatring from gung ho wanna-be. Or a person who wants to "surf the world wide web".

Obviously you haven't seen what people can do with Tippmann's.

So are you defending the tippmann as a fan favorite for those who like to MOD similar to the scion cars or xbox console?

I don't EVER recall seeing or reading any of the top NPPL http://www.nppl.tv/ teams using Tippmanns win any of those tourneys.

Yea it can be acurate, nearly indestructable and i know they make electronic triggers for the Tip's.
So why with all this 'MODs' isnt this the top gun in the league??? Cause it's a starter gun... its the basic honda civic before you add NOZ, rims, seats, restraints, custom paint........ and even then with all its whoo ha's and doo hickies...yet it still isnt better than most of your higher end stock markers.

If i'm wrong PLEASE link me to these amazing MODs that make it a worthy competiter.

If you play woods, a Tippmann 98 is more than adequate. It's very accurate (stock) at 280-300fps. As long as you match the paintball with your barrel, you can't go wrong.

I see all these guys out there with higher end guns that, at the lower fps, don't do any better.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in the boat and drink beer all day...

Well the only thing i can think of is.. those guys who have the expensie marker.. that are playing in the woods have little to no experience playing. It wasnt until after my first year of playing and 2nd gun did i realize that the paint you shoot is as important as the rig you weild.

But again were talking about 2 diffent things here. Tourny players and friends in the back 40.

Tippmann Effect ring a bell?

Honestly, after using most of the high-end guns, I don't see why most of them have such hype to them. Intimidators, to Dye/Proto Matrixes, to Nerves, to Shockers, to Cyborgs..

Some are faster, some are lighter, some can shoot more accurately - every one of them is different. Tippmann's, in the hands of the right person, can keep up with even these guns.

With a little research i guess i know who the tippmann effect is/are out of 20 events they got '3' ranked spots 1st, 3rd, 5th in 2005. But when i look at the PSP 2005 standings http://www.pspevents.com/index.php?module=PostWrap&page=Rankings
i dont see the T.E. ranked anywhere.... unless they have a differnet team name?

Like i said before i've been out of the loop for a few years, looking at websites the PSP (Paintball Sports Promotions) vs the NPPL (National Professinal Paintball League) dunno who is "better".

nevermind the 'beats' on a loop scroll past the gattling paintball ATV. n00b tubes for paintballers? Used to be "spray and pray" now its just "blow a load"

Oh A//ah thanks for the read.
