No, its a complete joke. He thinks that hes going to prove that its unhealthy to eat only mcdonalds for a month? Well no shit. I thought it was just lame, and it didnt teach anyone jack. But thats just me.

It's pretty good because it showed that, not only is this food not healthy, it will actually hurt you. Doctors didn't see it coming at all, they were flabbergasted at the effects it had on his health.
Since it's a main food source for a vast part of the population, it is a serious concern indeed.

Yes of course. But eating only fast food should not make you dangerously sick in only 30 days. Clearly it crosses the line between "unhealthy" and "poisonous".
Anyway the movie had some positive effects, it spurned awareness and even made McDonald modify some of its menus and publicity.
Oh and the sleasy PR guy got the axe.

Well we dont know if its only mcdonalds that does this. I bet if you ate at a local burger place for a month, it wouldnt be great for you either. What were the effects again? I remember he had some sexual side effects, and that he could gain weight really fast, but what else was there?

Once every couple of years I'll make the mistake of eating at McDonalds. There is something seriously wrong with that food because I'll usually wind up living in the bathroom that night. I don't know what they put on that stuff, but it turns my insides to liquid.

Couple of years ago, I used to stop at McDonald,s with my co-teacher on our way to class once a week. I was fine, but he felt sick every time.
Haven't been back there (or any other fast-food joint) for 2 years.
I think the burgers and fries are not as bad as the soft drinks. At the end of the movies they show the amount of sugar the guy ate in a month, and it's several buckets.
Also they show how the servings have kept growing larger and larger, and how the "small" serving size had pretty much disappeared. I heard they have re-introduced it after the movie.

Funny you should say that cos that's what happened to the cow as well

A quick note about my recent experiences with McDonalds -
Every now and then I get a serious craving for one of their single most damaging items: Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. I can't help it. It must be the combination of grease and pseudo-cheese that sparks some sort of nostalgic feeling in my head. The scent of the place and the taste of that half-pound (pre-cooked weight, they'll point out) always brings me back to when I was a kid, visiting my grandmother way up north. Chicken McNuggets is another item that really sends me back to those times.
That all aside, I stopped into McDonalds for that burger. I was pretty hungry, so I could barely wait long enough to get home. Unwrapping the beast I took a bite. *CRUNCH!*
"WTF?" I thought, "This burger shouldn't crunch..." I picked the piece out of my mouth - Bone shard. Though a little put off I was still hungry so I kept eating. A few bites later - *CRUNCH!* Then a couple more *CRUNCH!*. All the nostaligic feelings I would conjure from the experience were shattered with picking not one or two but six pieces of bone out of the burger.
Later that night I felt the pain for my lunch decision noted earlier by others - it turned my insides to liquid. Oddly enough McDonalds usually doesn't have that effect on me. Except those Chicken Selects (aka Chicken strips). I've tried them twice and had the same result both times - spending a lot of time running to the bathroom.

ewww.
Also interesting: I have a friend who works for a large chicken company. They slaughter thousands of chickens a day and sell the different part to different clients. He says "Don't buy chicken at McDonald's". He refuses to tell why.
