Apple supports dual boot Win/OSX

The day is coming when some outlets are going to preload Macs with OSX and Windows. Buying a computer will be like taking the Pepsi challenge as opposed to gambling $1000+ and hoping you like the OS.
When they come out with the tower systems, Mac users will be able to stick with their Mac and then boot into Windows for their games or the odd Win only app.

I have a similar article in a magazine subscription to PC Magazine explaining how apple has opted to ditch its own OS and in the coming years will load MS instead. They explian how their Ipod was supposed to boost their sales for Apple, but it backfired when some clever guy wrote a small program that lets you transfer songs under windows. That and they also explain that their own OS doesn't support much of the up and coming hardware geared towards gamers, and that loading Mac's with MS will put them back into the competetive ranks.

They won't ditch OSX, without it they would just be selling PC in a highly competitive, low profit margin market. OSX is the key for them. Mac users love OSX, and thus are willing to pay a premium for Apple hardware to run it on--Apple has great profit margins on their hardware. This just allows them to sell more Macs to people who are on the fence and to Mac users that want to play games.

Apple hardware running Windows?

No branier, not interested at all. I would buy a Mac for OSx, not to be able to also run Windows.

PC running OSX?

Sign me up. I use Windows for gaming, OSx for everything else, including internet shemale porno.

Yeah, but Apple makes their money of the hardware, even if the OS is the reason why people buy the Apple in the first place. I read the Dvorak article, I just don't see Apple ditching OSX. They might preload Macs with both, but once they ditch OSX, there's no reason to buy a Mac.

THey also make money off of the OS.

Hell, if they just did(or would do) what Microsoft does, they could be king of the hill.

What does MS do?

Screw hardware. Let other companies worry about the hardware, we will make the software. This is why MS has the vast majority of the market. They have the common sense to know how much they will sell in software by doing it this way.

Apple is SLOWLY getting there.

That is cool apple is trying to merge into MS, since OSX isn't as compatible with games. Also Jimmy what is good about OSX, I have always used MS and don't know much about MAC's. All I know is that MAC's are good for imiging and such.
