Not really a forceshield is it?

What's the bet it's just a microwave beam that takes those missiles out?

Still pretty cool though.

You know whats gonna happen, US soldiers are actually going to try to have a barbaque using it. I can just picture them all standing around with burgers and hotdogs on long forks, holding them over the weapon.

Yea ultra cool, I bet it's using that technology they have on some plains that will shoot down missiles with a micro wave or laser thingy. Crazy that they can outfit a tank or APC with it now

It's hard to imagine a microwave weapon working that quickly. Is there any possibility that they are literally hitting it with some type of convention gun, like the phalanx systems found on US ships? In BF2 you'll find them on the carriers, the dome with gatling gun at the end of the ship. In real life that gatling gun is connected to radars and computers that controll the gun and use it to knock down missiles.

Maybe, but it seems like they don't spray and pray, what ever it is, it hits it dead on.

yeah who knows i guess, the only way to see if it wasn't a gatling gun would have been to shoot more than one rocket at a time. and they said you couldn't use it to protect ships from high speed torps, but if it was a gatling gun they could use it to take them out, those high speed torps are just barely under the water.

seems like a cool idea though, kinda suprised that isreal would have developed it.

It could be an ultra-sonic sound frequency. Underwater the frequency would change which may be the reason why they can't use it on torpedos.

well whatever it is, its power is insignificant next to the power of the force.

It mentions something about hitting the rpg with a 'beam' of fragments.

Its obvious that its not using some type of conventional weapon to shoot down the incoming missiles.....because in slow motion you dont see one damn thing come from the tank towards any of the warheads.

All I know is, I want this to be implemented into Bf2 for me only. No one else except for me. :)
