Sopranos
Good episode, weird but good. The characters have been blown so far out of their normal orbits (by one crisis or another) that they are now impossible to predict. Paulie is most definitely digging his own grave though!
Nice bit of Pink Floyd in the closing credits.

Interesting symbolism with the Dinosaur book. Chris talks about T-Rex and what hell the garden of eden would be if T-Rex were there chasing Adam and Eve. The talk about Dinosaurs (cold blooded carnivores like T-Rex) evolving into birds (back to birds, as in the ducks from season 1). Tony having sympathy and empathy for others, seeing social injustices, ala the way insurance companies treat people, the little girl who was burned, the rapper telling his manager how much it hurt while the manager kept on talking about the money, etc.
It seems like Tony is being compelled to evolve, but I agree, he will snap back to his old ways. Speaking of carnivores, how about the scenes for next week, Phil Leotardo telling Johnny Sack 'If he's this weak, I wonder what else can we do to him?
These guys are like sharks who smell blood in the water.

Last night, I saw that there were only 3 episodes left! That is BS!! I thought this season was suppose to be longer than others. Truthfully, I'm not too impressed with the story line so far. There really doesn't seem to be one. Other than the fat gay mobster, and that is getting a little to much play. It was funny at first but now its just gay! Its turning into "Broke Back Sopranos".

I think Christopher Moltisanti is gonna fuck up big time. This will cause Tony to snap. He is back on the bottle and the needle.

I was thinking that, too, but don't think it is likely to turn out that way.

Yes. I had instant thoughts of Christopher contracting some sort of disease. The other guy looked like he was sick. Christopher has fallen off the wagon in such a big way that he's headed for either an intervention, death or a life in the street gutters - perhaps we saw a preview.
Paulie is Paulie. He's been a cheap prick forever and will never change. Tony seems to have nipped the feud in the bud though by forcing him to reconcile.
Janice is a bitch who pushes people constantly to the brink and beyond.. She and her kid weren't hurt at all yet she's acting as though they were. She loves being the center of attention even if she has to make stuff up to be there.
I don't know who's going to 'get it'. These characters are all volatile and impossible to predict.

Clint Eastwood (Munny): Hell of a thing, killin' a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
Jaimz Woolvett (The Schofield Kid): Yeah, well, I guess he had it comin'.
Clint Eastwood (Munny): We all got it comin', kid.

It did seem like Paulie was starting to reconcile with his "mother" at the end of the episode, so maybe he's trying to turn a new leaf after his bad experiences with the festival.
Christopher, after moving to a high, seems to be backsliding quickly...I don't think Tony will give him a second chance after his previous foul-ups.
Agreed with Janice. She's just a train wreck.

Tony's whole "every day is a gift" motif will be tested but as long as Christopher's habits don't interfere with his work then i think he's fine. I think by the end there my be a "war" with New York as to tony's reluctance to dealing with Vito. That... i think will be the end of christopher... somewhere in there... they gotta make the cliffhanger big so that the last episodes starting in january are a huge draw. Its all a guess but like you guys said, you never know where each character is going.

So, I'm starting to think Carmella is going to start flexing her mob muscle. Here's why I think that:
She is exasperated over the whole building inspector thing and I think will not let it rest with Tony not producing results. I think she is contemplating taking an active roll in 'the business.' They show her thinking as she is looking at that other woman (I forget her name) who is now 'one of the guys.'
Where that will leave her and Tony is a question I don't know the answer too. I don't think he'll like it very much in light of the most recent episode.

I love the way they don't let Tony become a hero, a good guy. Every now and then they show the mean petty side of him. The way he was treating that poor lawn guy , the one who really got screwed over last season, was just terrible. Poor guy's business got destroyed, his kid had to drop out of school (last season), and now he asks if he can stop doing Johnny Sack's yard for free, Tony shits all over him.
