They released it because there were groups of people asking for it under the Freedom of Information act. The govt had said they wouldn't turn it over until the Justice dept was done with (with Massousie's sp?) trial.
Conspiracy theorists will continue to believe it was a missile and not a plane, no matter what evidence they are shown.
Hmmm, terrorist hijack 4 planes, fly two of them into WTC, one crashed in PA, but rather than crash the 4th one into the pentagon, they make it dissappear with all it's passengers, and *then* use a missile???? Yeah, that's making a lot of sense. Right up there with they flew both planes into the WTC *and* set off bombs inside the WTC as well. Can't forget the best one of all, that one of the planes that hit the WTC had a 'missile pod' on it. Let's fire a missile into the WTC, and then hit it with the plane that fired the missile as well.

I'm opposed. I think most people confuse 'needs' with 'wants.'

America is very wasteful of resources as a country. This is not to say other countries aren't as well. But to focus on America, we consume by far, more than any other country. We don't NEED to consume so much. We have developed a culture of consuming because we can. We are addicted to it and woe to the country that tries to stand in our way. That's the truth of the matter as I see it.

Developing alternatives to oil and a change in culture are the answer. Simple and yet complex. Possible and impossible. Who knows? If we don't make a large collective effort we will never achieve anything. Making that effort requires leadership that isn't bought and paid for by the energy business.

You'd better bring more than a breadknife for the french fries that I'm charging $70 a Happy Meal for even though I have a warehouse full of the stuff.

The bigger picture isn't oil. Allah is right in his post again, America is wasteful of everything it does. Even in stupid things as food, we waste a ton. The bigger picture I referred to was the global threat of Iraq and Iran. I understand no WMDs were actually found in Iraq, but still Saddam needed to be overthrown whether he was building WMDs or not. Now, Iran scares me 5x as much as Iraq ever did. Whenever the leader of a country calls death to another, and starts a nuclear program...the world faces a problem. Ahmadinjad (spelling) calls death to Isreal and the destruction of Jews, and calls the Holocaust a political joke by the West, and at the same time claims his nuclear programs are peaceful. I'm more scared of the fact that Isreal is going to attack Iran then I am of Iran striking first, because that is almost certian not to happen. If Isreal bombs Iran the Middle East will be a much bigger problem then even is now. If diplomaticsanctions do not halter Iran's nuclear ambitions whether they actually are peaceful or not, which its fairly obvious in my mind it isn't, Iran will be a much bigger problem then Iraq is. The support for radical islam will be at an all time high if anyone attacks Iran and the West will have a major problem in defeating what will emerge out of the Middle East, and stopping attacks on its own soil. (Whether it be in the UK, France, Germany, US or Canada)

It's kind of funny that a long time ago, they'd hit oil while drilling for (water) wells in PA, and they would consider it a disaster. Looking for water and wound up with this foul black gunk that ruins the land!! All that changed once whale oil started to run out, and someone figured out how to make kerosene out of oil--which left behind the next useless byproduct--gasoline!
Makes you wonder what 'useless' substance is the next big breakthrough.

Conscious* is very correct. First of all, if all we wanted was oil we could have gone over to Irag, put our boot heels on their necks, setup our OWN government and taken their oil. But that is not what we are doing in Iraq ask any returning serviceman or woman. We can drill for oil in Alaska. There is more oil in ANWR than in Saudi Arabia. We just aren't allowed to drill there for some odd reason? Hussen HAD WMD's the U.S., British, French, Russian, Israeli, and German Intelligence agencies all had info of his arms.

Secondly, be affraid of Iran, very affraid. The Islam that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad practices isn't a very widley accepted version of Islam. These guys believe they can summon the 12th Imam (the equivalent of Christianity's Second Comming) to cleanse the world of Evil and istall a global Caliphate by collapsing the world into Nuclear War.
