Want to be an admin?

Ok I know mmmmgood's statement doesn't support my argument directly knight Raven, I happened to mention that earlier, that I have an oppinion that this Admin deal could end up being special treatment. MMmmgood says he won't give them special treatment, but when I saw this Admin deal I wanted to express that I would not like at all to see S.S. clan having a say in the server. That is the core of my point and questioning. People on these damn forums think everything is an attack on them or something, I'm just putting my oppinion down for input, start getting that please. Just wanting to hear other views to gain perspective. Now as for MMmmgood I know you arent going to give the entire S.S. group admin privileges, and I don't believe I've accused you of already doing it.(If I did then sorry) I'm just throwing around the idea of clans getting their fingers way too deep in everyone else's affairs, and I used S.S. for my point because they sure like to talk, and just flat out smother non-clan people. I think if S.S. got a little more slack they could really just about do whatever they want to people. I just don't think they need anymore power behind their views. If you have any comments MMmmgood I'd be happy to hear them for closure. Thanks everyone for putting your 2 cents in, accept that one guy who put 1 cent in...................

Well first off....Lord ZOG has demonstrated maturity and good judgement, thats why I chose him.

Second....he does what I tell him to. He follows my rules, if he doesnt, hes gone as fast as I can type the command.

Ironman, MmmmGood meant "quote him in any previous quote"...not quote him after the fact.

On another note; I appreciate MmmmGood making me a junior level admin. I'm not planning on banning or kicking people with wreckless abandon. I just want people to know they can't screw around and make the game less enjoyable for others. The only thing I've done so far as an admin is cancel a few vote spammers. Blatant Door blocking fools will be quickly dealt with, but never in a permanent way. Most of the regulars on OC48 needn't be banned...especially the members.

I'll still have at it with some people verbally (or textually), but I'm not about to kick or ban anyone because their opinion differs from mine, or because they hate my guts. I actually like not being the most popular guy on the server. I don't exist to be a "Yes-Man".

There will be more junior level Admins, just not a lot of them...and not just anyone will be given that power. It's been suggested that one member of all the major clans will have a junior level admin promoted, so hang in there.

A bad admin is worse than no admin, in my mind. I'm being monitored as a Junior Level Admin, I don't have full athority over the server. I don't want to lose my privilages, either...so I'm not about to abuse my power.

Anyone who thinks I, or Weasel or MmmmGood are going to start kicking people for no reason is naive. This is about keeping what MmmGood and MothaFucka have built a decent place to play in....not some mindless power trip.

I'm as open to any ideas or suggestions you guys have, whether it's regarding the S.S. clan, my play or my attitude. I'm not perfect, and I'm not going to get along with every single person who plays on OC48.

And u dont have to defend mmmgood i think he can do that all by himself.....
And me too am affraid this is gonna be a s.s. server..and im not affraid to say it...
i also believe that mmmmgood doesnt intent on making this a s.s. server..but i just wanna say it....
And yes (>Tool<) is right the second u express ur feelings or thougds or share them, people are immedatly angry and offendend....

I'm not offended in any way at all, I know it's all just fun and games. I know your opinions are just as valid as mine and I respect that, and I'm not about to get emotional over anything so trivial. If anything I enjoy having you as a nemisis

Zog, that "manual" is great, not needed though. I think we all know you have good judgement and I for one am glad to have you watching over, protecting good gameplay.

I didn't mean to be so long winded before, I just felt some people needed assurance that I'm maybe not quite the prick I appear to be in the game.

Tool, me thinks, is the type of person who would bitch about winning the lottery. I've played with him before, and have no idea why he's got such an attitude. Perhaps he's a bit frustrated at having his ass kicked by me, but in all honesty he's probably kicked my ass just as many times, you just don't see me venting about it here.

That's OK, Tool. It's nothing maturity and another ten years won't cure.

I for one am not worried. Im sure Zog will not use his admin status as an excuse to settle petty arguments with some people...and if he does then im sure mmmgood and motha will put a boot in his ass. Anyway lets not get so worked up and cause problems until there is something to get mad about. Thats just my 2 cents.

I have played with him plenty of time and he's a good player. The only bad thing about ZOG is... Where were you 3 hours ago?!?!?! :help:

10+ games straight those loonies screwed both teams over. GRRRR... :roll:

I hate that when this happens. Seen this kinda stuff happen too many times on Interlink (and Haleys) UT servers. I couldn't get them kicked no matter what!!! Can't admins lower the votes needed to kick people off? Or maybe add a way to turn friendly fire on?

You can always use +salute in the console to push the offending moron out of the way if an admin isnt there.

It's already binded to a key but it doesn't seems to work all the time.

The big problem is that most players don't know about this feature. And when players who are not right in the head block spawn areas people get angry real fast!
