Well I love my ipod, I would die without it on my work road trips that is for sure.
I feel bad for you Luna, getting something stolen sucks. My Z28 got broken into TWICE at 2 different work buildings, I was so pissed I was ready to freak. You question everything when something gets stolen, security, humans, society. And it happened 9 months apart for me awhile back. NOW my work gets a security truck to drive around, thanks dicks, could have used that 2 years ago.
I had the same emotions as the guy who got his house broken into, I felt violated and wished I would have seen the mofo who did it so I could kick his ass, then realized wait, I would prob lose to anyone in a fight or maybe he had a gun or a knife and would really f me up good. Over what, a car stereo? Not worth it.
I do have to agree with Evan, 1 time or not, you learned a hard lesson, in High School when you have a hot item, people are always watching for there moment to take it. Don't be naive like everyone is your friend and keep your stuff under lock and key. Especially something as easy to steal as a tiny IPOD, hell the dude could have it in his hand right next to you right now and you wouldn't know it. Buy a BLUE one next time, at least that will give you SOMETHING different to recognize.
Putting gps on a $20,000 car is a tad diff than putting it on an ipod that has a resale value when used of what $100? I have to disagree with your point that Apple has to be liable. Those items are just too damn small. Put GPS on it, no, put a code on there so it is useless to a thief.. YES!!
Selling GPS as an OPTION so you can track the low life piece of crap that stole your stuff.. PRICELESS!

With something like an iPod it's your own fault if it's stolen because you left it in a public place. Go ahead - drop a 100 dollar bill in the mall and see if people return it to you.
When I worked in the mall I found about $150 one Christmas. I waited until the end of the next day and no one came for it so it was mine. Granted I didn't take it from their pockets directly but it's the same concept.

This is what always made me mad, knowing that the dude could be sitting right next to me...What really made me mad was the possibility that it was one of my teammates on my baseball team...I just hope it wasn't but it really doesnt matter...Especially something as easy to steal as a tiny IPOD, hell the dude could have it in his hand right next to you right now and you wouldn't know it.

Yah thats what I will be thinking if Apple ever makes a security system...
You should make a video of yourself destroying it in any way imaginable and then send it to break.com or somethingSo now I have this completely useless iPod mini sitting on my counter top.

Now I have a security system that I pay an $18 a month monitoring fee, because of dumb-ass crooks! Trust me I feel your pain.
I just thought of this what if Apple made an Ipod that when armed was like a zapper toy...Like the ones they sell at the mall...anyone touches the Ipod and zap!

I also thought of what would really be a good little skit to set up at my school...put a weighted down Ipod Box...you know the ones the Ipods come in....in the center of a hallway and put video servelance on the box and whenever someone takes it you can get in there face and call them a thief

If it could be an option that could be sold separately or an upgrade for it okay I might be for it.
That would be perfect for me, I would deffinently be for it...But I don't think Apple is going to put that much effort into something like this....Just not enoeph push for it....its more of a neccesity than a need...
Put GPS on it, no, put a code on there so it is useless to a thief.. YES!!

Exactly what you said weasel would work perfect...I love the idea of it being useless to theifs...so they don't steal them if they know they can't use it...and plus the gps idea would be great for parents to know where there children are at and where there ipod is if it gets lost or like you said some low life steals it...
LOL...rewording of the priceless statement

Getting extra memory on your Ipod...$100
Getting a pocket holdster for your Ipod...$20
Selling GPS as an OPTION so you can track the low life piece of crap that stole your Ipod... PRICELESS!
For everything else theres mastercard or however the thing goes

I think if I give them my old one when I go to buy a new one, they will give me a 20% discount or something along those lines. So i'll hold off on doing that. But still, I don't want to buy a new one. It's hard life living without an iPod!Originally posted by Stl Lunatic

About 20 years ago there was a guy that had a hardware store in the small community where I lived. He super-glued sixty five cent to the counter-top near the register two quarters, a dime, and a nickle. It looked like someone had forgot their change. I have seen people almost rip their fingernails off trying to take the change off the counter when the owner would turn around. But that's not the best trick he had. He took a five dollar bill and super-glued it inside the middle of a book with one end of the bill sticking out from between the pages. Then he would leave it on the counter with the bill toward the customer side of the counter. Sometime he would put objects or other books on top of the book with the bill. People would grab what was sticking out the book and yank on it real fast to pull the bill out. The book and what ever was on top of it would end up on the floor. They were busted, and nothing they could say to deny it. That is still one of the funnest things I have every seen. Someone would try it once or twice a day...

Just got back from seeing Clerks II. That was one fuckin funny movie. The theatre was laughing 85% of the time. I never saw the first one but I guess you didn't need to. Lunatic, did you stay till the very end of the credits? I don't wanna spoil it for some people, but what I am talking about was really funny. If anyone else goes to see this movie, make sure you stay till the very very very end of the credits.Originally posted by Stl Lunatic

But you should. And Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Be one with the ViewAskewniverse.
I left Jersey Girl out on purpose. I never saw it but since Jennifer Lopez is involved it gets an immediate -12 on the scale of 1 to 10 and needs to work its way up.

No, I didn't stay till the end for either of the movies...

I loved so many parts of that movie...most I don't think would be apropriate for this board...
Ill just say the part with the black laddy and racial slurs...
Pickle F*****
The donkey scene...
The part where there in jail...
And then maybe the most funnyest part of the movie perhaps was when the nerd kid was telling the other guy about the trolls in his girlfriend...I almost fuckin died the first time I saw that part...Just the music they played when he was telling him and then the other guys expression he was making...."Dude you'll never believe what he just told me!"
I also learned that the actor of silent bob Kevin Smith auctioned off a walk on role on the film for funds to go to the Red Cross for aid to Hurricane Katrina victims. The final bid was $16,000 which Smith matched to give to the Red Cross.
[Elias is wasted] I hope that donkey doesn't have a heinie troll!
Hey fucko! We like to call it inter-species erotica.
Concerned Father: Don't look at his wee-wee.
Jay: Did you know Jesus was a Jew?
Eliase: Im sorry Jesus!
Randal Graves: [to Dante] You're my best friend, and I love you. In a heterosexual way.
Jay: [to Silent Bob] Yeah Right. Fa***t.
Silent Bob: I got nothing man.
And Ill top of the quote list with one of the funniest ones there...In my theatre at least I think it got the most laughs lol
Jay: Sometimes I wish I'd done a little more with my life instead of just hanging out in front of places. Maybe be an animal doctor. Why not me? I like seals and shit. Or maybe be an astronaut. Go into space and shit. Be the first to find a new alien lifeform... and fuck it. People would be, like, "there he goes. home Boy fucked a martian once."
LMAO

Great stuff...So great

Sure, they could offer insurance for theft, loss, etc. - but is it really a big deal? It is your responsibility to keep it safe and from being stolen afterall. Not Apple's.
No shit. Camry's are one of the most stolen cars in the US. Should Toyota suck you off(and swallow) because it was stolen?
Why should Apple care? It is not their fault you left it in a place it could be EASILY stolen. A 'zipped' bookbag on a bench(like it being zipped shut matters)? Jesus, what were you thinking?

No offense, but it is your age I think. You learned a tough lesson. Growing up you will learn it over and over. PEOPLE STEAL SHIT.
You will forget it, but then be reminded of it again as you will indeed screw up and leave something out.
I had a haro bike stolen out of my garage as a kid. Fucking $500 bike gone. I didn't have an allowance for 2 years as I had to pay for half of it(other half was birthday present). I was stupid and left my garage door open and some tool sack came in my garage and stole it.
15 years later. $2k gary fisher full suspension mountain bike in almost brand new condition, barely broken in. Yup, left the mother fucking garage open again.

If you think about it stealing is like a big circle, someone gets something they like stolen so they go all crash bandicoot on everyone else...so every time they see something sitting for the taking they say somone screwed me so I'll screw the person who left there valuable in the open...and so everyone just goes in a big cirlce of crime.
"loosers weapers, finders keepers" lmao...
and plus my ipod was in an inner compartment zipper it wasn't just one zipper...But oh well the dude prolly checked every single one of the pockets...
You also say what was I thinking?
Well it was one of those days where I was running behind...after school you go right to the locker room change for baseball practice and head out to the field...and we only got like five or ten minutes to get out there...theres lots of stuff going on...and theres lots of people changing....lots of stuff on the floor....stuff gets thrown around sometimes...and sometimes you think you put something in the locker when you didn't...stuff happenes I guess...
I am a
