Dual monitors & HD(TV) question

Postby TiNM@N » Mon Aug 21, 2006 8:11 pm

Hello,

Mr. inexperienced here again. I recently bought a 22" LCD. I wanted to sell my old 17", if the price was right. IF i don't get an offer that sounds good i'll just end up keeping it as a back up or setting up a dual system.

What do i need to make this work? cables/plugs/software?

Instead of making another thread i figure i'd piggyback this question... heres the info on this new monitor,
am i correct in the idea that all i would need to make this HD(TV) usable is
1. HDTV Converter Box
2. Component Video & Audio (YPbPr)
USN 97'-01' VF-32 (NAS OCEANA)

I think component video doesn't allow HD content... The whole industry is way too confusing to be sure though. :(

YPbPr does allow HD. Just to clarify you are talking abour the Red Green and Blue video connector right? You could also do it with DVI and HDMI. If the monitor has an HDMI connector then that would carry both your video and sound.
