"Don't mention the war"

German Tourist: Will you stop mentioning the war

Basil: Well you started it

German tourist: No we didn't

Basil: Yes you did, you invaded Poland

Pirates: some say it's fake and that it's supposed to be a rip on movie blunder pics

Troy: suppsedly the same here - fake but supposed to be

Chinese watch: no clue about this one

Chinese police with guns: I've seen this pic elsewhere, but it really isn't a blunder so much as a safety issue. Officer in the background is doing the same thing.

Gladiator: true

Oz: can't tell you if this is true or not

Star Wars: true... known about in SW circles for years now

LotR: who knows, but it's entirely possible

Jurassic Park: true... I remember thinking the same thing when I first saw the movie in theaters

Independence Day: entirely possible

Movie "blunders" happen all the time. It's bizarre to me when people point them out as if the director/crew are infallible. Some are definitely funny to see (like the Star Wars one) but others (like the Gladiator one) leave me thinking "who cares?" Cars show up in period pieces and fantasy movies, airplane contrails show up in the backgrounds of movies that are supposed to pre-date air travel, liquids in glasses change levels within the same scene, clothes change, hair changes, etc. So long as it doesn't take away from the story telling, I don't mind.

Hell, in Die Hard 2 our hero is supposed to be in Washington DC yet the logo on the phonebooth he is using says Pacific Bell.

I love when people point these things out, they're fun to see.

That one with Jack Sparrow looks so incredibly fake...

Some of the bests are the clocks. In one scene it will go from 10, to 3:30, to noon, to 11:28, etc.

The Star Wars one is a classic, right after it happens one of the commanders says something like "attend to him" or "see to him", making it seem like he's referring to the trooper that bumped his head, actually he's referring (I think) to the guy Darth Vader choked out--something like that.
