Dad pulls gun on son's football coach
PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - The father of a young football player pulled a gun on his son's coach because he didn't think the boy was getting enough playing time, Philadelphia police said on Monday.
Wayne Derkotch, 40, was charged with aggravated assault after getting in a fight with the coach over the amount of time the boy was getting on the field at a game for 6- and 7-year-olds on Sunday morning, said police spokesman Officer Raul Malveiro.

but did he have a permit for it? If he had a permit, i can look the other way. If he didn't they should throw the book at him.
What other way can a man express the love for his son than by pulling a gun on a coach so "little johnny" gets more playing time?

I would be first in line to vote for some kinda permit to have kids. These days there are way to many people uncappable of raising proper citizens. Something must be done.
What is the likelyhood that this guy is really Codered?

Well when you let just about anyone buy a gun they can easily conceal this is the stuff that happens. Over here we have to stick with threatening our kids coaches by swinging half a brick in a plastic bag

Football and hockey parents seem to be the most aggressive parents. Come on, the kids were 6 and 7 years old. I guess Dad was thinking scouts might be in the stands.
There's only one crime in nature which is stupidity, and the punishment is death.
Just when you think people can't get any stupider...
Did anyone else notice on the main page the thread title reads "Dad pulls gun on son's football"? I thought it was going to be a much funnier article. Along the lines of the guy had enough of his kid throwing the football around the house. So, he took care of the ball, permanently.
