Political BS. isn't interesting that they sentence Saddam only two days before U.S. elections.

I am sure that the republicans will get a slight bounce..slight in the poll numbers.

We will still have to wait at least a year for the appeal, then when that is done wait up to another 30 days after that before we see if swining on a rope. I doubt that he will even get that far, as he will off himself in prison.

I wouldn't sweat the political aspect too much. It may look good for a little while, but if massive violence flares up, then that plays toward the Democrats side of things.
I don't think it will affect things much one way or another, Reps vote for Reps, Dems vote for Dems. The only deciding factor is how pissed off each group is, and thus gets their people to the polls.

We have the Death Penalty in NH, and we're about to use it for the first time in about 50 years. Some douchebag went on a crime spree, robbed some stores, shot up some neighborhoods, and then just shot a bike patrol officer in the head, kind of out of the blue.
Technically he's supposed to get lethal injection, but if there's any problems with it, then it's officially hanging time.
It's not often I say this, but I'm looking forward to this, I wish we could just hang him and not even look into the lethal injection.

I think he'd rather be killed by firing squad.
So long as its Gerrard, Lampard and Carragher from 12yards shooting :P

It's in Iraq, not in the US.

Hanging is still done in numerous countries.
