Learn to play piano
I have played music since the 4th grade and really enjoy it. i play the guitar a tad, and you know how sometimes people are awesome and they say they are just ok, I'm really just below avg I know chords and thats about it.
For about a year I have had an itch to learn some piano so i can play some favs of mine, Billy Joel, Phil vassar to name a couple.
I wanna learn some chords so i can play along with guitar music i have (already has the chords on it) and maybe take the next step after that.
I can get a nice used like new 61 key keyboard for like 80-100 on craigslist or ebay. Retail is about $200 for some of these and they are dirt cheap used.
Any advice for how to start?
Just buy a chord book and practice?? Actually I just found a site that has all the chords at the click of a mouse.

Funny you're saying this, I just got a new keyboard myself for christmas and a chord book.
But make sure you get some beginner books...tons of sheet music on the internet for beginners...to make sure you can't get your timing on your left and right hands down...and your fingering. But yea, as simple as it sounds, just play what you like and you'll be amazed at how much better you get in a short time. I already learned 3 songs since x-mas (when i'm 64, American Pie, and Let it Be by the beetles). Definitely a great pasttime.
