The bottom line here is that the Chargers have an awesome team, yet they're a bit full of themsleves, a bit unseasoned and have a terrible coach.
Leading by 11, I'm handing the ball to LT 60-75% of the time. The Pats never really stopped him yet the Bolts' coaching staff felt the need to let Rivers handle the ball a bit more than made sense.
I read that LT only handled the ball 9 times in the 2nd half. He was unstoppable, yet he was a small part of the Charger's offense. Schotty...it was nice knowing you, but not real nice.
The Chargers will learn from this, and come back tougher next season IF they have the mental toughness.

Karen Guregian is taking a beating for this article. She never interviews any Patriots. She's just jumping on this bandwagon LT created for attention. She's the same writer who thinks all that awful hitting in hockey shouldn't be allowed.
It was only a couple Patriots who juimped on the field, and only one player emulating Steroid-boy. It's only a few short seconds until Brady and a fgew of the veteran players are on the field imploring their team-mates to get off the field.
The Chargers can use this for motivation if they want, LT can moan about it until his retirement. It's football.
The Chargers play the Pats next year. We'll see who has class then. In my experience, ithe people who tell you they have class don't have any at all.
Welcome to the real world, LT. Grab a dose of reality.

As an objective observer.. it seems to me that if LT would just reserve himself to high-fives or a fist pumping after a sack, none of this would have had to happen. You say it's disrespectful to dance on the logo? Well, then it's just as direspectful (not to mention, immature) to proceed with this spastic, taunting, celebratory dance after every sack. (and yes, he had a lot of 'em). You want to taunt and rub it in thier face? Then expect to be taunted and rubbed back in your face also.
My 2 cents.
My 2 cents.

thanks to Spirit of Me for the sig!
There's a fine line to walk when differentiating between honest celebration and taunting.
Personally, I cringe when-ever any player makes a great play then feels the need to draw attention to himself by doing some sort of ridiculous dance.
Years back some un-named Patriots player strip-sacked a QB, then went straight into his monkey-dance...only to have the live ball scooped up by the other team and run into the end zone for a TD.
What about that dope on the Cowboys years back in the Super Bowl? He picked up a fumble and started his TD dance about 10-yards too soon, only to have the ball swatted out of his hands before he crossed the line?
I didn't see the Patriots mocking the Chargers (they never showed anything on TV during the game), but I'm sure I wouldn't have been happy to see it.
The bottom line is it may have been the wrong thing to do, but move on. The game is over. If LT is as "classy" as he keeps telling us, he should drop it and move on and then show us how it's done when his time comes.

the chargers needed a player like george teague. for those of you who do not know who he is ask T.O. what happened after his celebration on the cowboy star. LT carries himself very well on the field and to me seems a classy guy. he is just speaking his mind. matt light is a good left tackle but not a "book end left tackle" he is only 6 foot 4 305 he has the quickness and the smarts to play against a protoypical linebacker in the nfl. (btw pancaking someone is hard but not too hard lots of factors) we will see how he fairs against dwight freeney.

I think they can beat Indy...but Indy looks like it has everything on its side; lightning quick defense, inside their home stadium and the Law of Averages.
There's no way they can survive another loss.
Cripes, all Manning has to do is get to the 40 yeard line and Vinatieri can drill it home.

I give the Pats all the credit in the world for winning three (and possibly four) Super Bowls in the last five or six years. However, they are losing their reputation as being a "classy" organization. Guys like Tom Brady, Troy Brown, and Vrobel are no doubt classy individuals. But there is also an increasing number of players on that team like this rookie Hobbs who are not. A co-worker of mine who used to live in Cincinatti and had Bengals season tickets. He swears the worst trash talking team in the league is the Patriots. I travel down to Baltimore for work about once a month. My co-workers down there also have a fair degree of disdain for the Pats and their actions (which si remarkable given Ray Ray and his dance , but I digress). Personally, I just don't know the team too well (outside of the 2005 Super Bowl). What I hear is that the Pats simply know when to do their trash-talking and when to shut up. LT was wrong in making his public remarks. What he should do is just zip it and remember what happened for the next time he plays them. And then kick some Patriot azz. If you live in Rome, do as the Romans do. But regardless of LT's remarks, the Patriot players have no reason to do their post-game taunting.
And how long can the Patriots keep playing that "we get no respect" card? There were a ton of national media who picked the Pats to win that game. What's next, they were disrespected because George W. waited 10 minutes after they won their last Super Bowl before giving them their congratulatory phone call? Enough already!

Cincinati? Is this the same team who led the NFL in off-field arrests, DUIs and assault and battery?
I think the Patriots are like every team in the league, but they win so much people just dig for an excuse to hate them.
