Hacker - Socom

Usually when that happens it's because of some technicality in the way the confession was aquired.

However, this is the internet not a court room. There are many differences. There are no lawyers to argue if certain guidelines were followed to get the information or if the evidence can be used against the person.

He asked me for hacks, pretty blatantly.

It's not like he was trying to get me to admit to hacking or anything, the guy offered to pay $300, then later (not in that log, but I could get it for an admin) he said that he had been using one for about a month, and that he just got finished using it on 1.4. As well, I've talked to his friend "hobo" about it. Got logs of that too.

That's besides the point. How do you know there wasn't a gun to the head of the person at the other end of the keyboard...telling him to type that he will buy hacks for 300$.

You have to know both sides of the story.

Of course admission isn't ban worthy, there's no way of proving whether they were joking or not. Lots of people say ot as a joke and there's alos kiddies who think it's cool to hack but actually don't have a clue about it. It'd be a quiet server if you banned anyone who ever claimed to hack...

This thread is pointing on Socom for wanting cheats.
If this dood really thought (been referred to) Source that he could fix cheats of course he try to talk to him. Then there has to be a rumour out there (hobo etc) of some kind.
If that is the case, it's also a great opportunity for Source to look good and point suspicions to that other guy and make himself look good.

Whether people believe that I hack or not is irrelevant, the point is that socom does for sure. I have a log of him telling someone else about hacking but it's not mine so I'll have to ask him if I can post it.
