Planetside Info??

Mon Apr 21, 2003 12:57 pm

Hey all in the Planetside demo...
Where might be a location that I (and probably others) can find out about the game commands and such? Seems the sites I can find using Google don't seem to tell all that much about the game expect what's already on the Sony site.

Any thoughts?

have you checked the beta site?http://planetside.station.sony.com/beta/

they have a manual and a tutorial there. It kind of clears things up. I know im still trying to learn the game. I have only played for like two hours, but there is just so much to the game to learn.

If you guys see a noob idiot named Edogg running around, make sure you shoot him in the head, then say hi:D

Thanks Edogg, You'll find when the regs are out there, we're on TS. Come join the fun!!!

I was thinking about the 'console-type' commands, a listing of them. I''l keep looking...got to be somewhere....

Don't know where to find console commands, but found this interesting (from the manual):

Amp Station - Provides self-regenerating shields to Wall Turrets thus upping their defensive capability. Also increases the radius of friendly Spheres of Influence thus extending their domain. Additionally it extends the operational time of Facilities by decreasing all NTU consumption rates.

Bio Lab - Decreases the time it takes to successfully respawn at Friendly Facilities. Also upgrades Medical Terminals to Advanced Medical Terminals.

Dropship Center - Where one can obtain the massive airborne troop transport, the Galaxy.

Interlink Facility - Enables your soldier's radar to now detect certain enemy vehicles that otherwise would be hidden from it and also provides Wall Turrets with an automated defensive mode against the vehicles it reveals on radar.

Tech Plant - Provides access to advanced assault vehicles such as the Reaver, Heavy Assault Buggies, and Heavy Assault Tanks.

Command Experience Points (CEPs) instead of Battle Experience Points are earned by Squad Leaders when their squad successfully captures a facility.

Can someone PLEASE help me get into the beta? I've already applied twice under different accounts.....even entered one of those stupid givaways.....no luck yet.

So, anyone got an extra beta account that they could loan me? Would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe if i could figure out how to invite someone, I would give up my slot for you!

Its not completly open, you have to be accepted to get into the beta. So yea its still kinda like a large-scale closed beta if you think about it.

Also,

In the chat box, you can change your text color by typing "\#xxxxxx" where the 6 x's are the hex color code. So red is "\#ff0000" and a light purple is "\#ffaaff".
