Wranglers are nice for occaisonal use (like back-road drives), but probably aren't the most comfortable daily-drivers. They're "not bad", but I agree the Nitro would be better.

Ah, F-it, Chick. Go for the X5! I can hook you up with that BMW dealership in New Jersey owned by that Russian dude's uncle I was telling you about... :D Hey, it only sounds a little shady!!!

Ok, here we go. I was a Paramedic before I became a Doctor, and that's me in my old uniform (shout out to Larry!)

Smoked the shit outta the tires in the parking lot at work!

Hmmm... a BMW that looks like a Subaru... tempting, but I think I'll pass. Hubby is a reasonable guy. If I decide the the Nitro is the way to go, he'll live. (Mind you, if I try to stop his next laptop purchase... down the smack will come. )

The question remains tho', for a girl you never hauls anything heavier than groceries but like's 'em big, what would you get?

Having owned several Jeeps (CJs to Wranglers), at 6' 4", he most likely will not be comfortable in one. Unless you can always drive with the top off.
If you go used, make sure one of you is handy with a wrench.

But, they are fun. Before I got the Earth Destroyer 2002, I had an '04 Wrangler. Before that, a '95 Wrangler. Before that, a '79 CJ-7. The only one I never turned a wrench on, was the '04.
If you are going used, I'd stick with a '95 Wrangler. The last year for the 'square headlight' style Wrangler. The year they finally got things right, then, they change it all. If you want to know more, let me know.

awesome yoop,

Yeah I'm keeping it forever. It was the car i always wanted in high school, and when i finally got one (granted a later model) I just fell in love with it. The official car i wanted in high School is a red IROC convertible, that is probably the only car I would trade it for if I could find one in good condition one day, always wanted that in High School.

nice project car fox......

Old CJ 7's in mint condition are a most beautiful site. Don't know why but I love them. I also liked the jeep in CB4 the movie. I am not sure what kind it was but it is was the BOMB. :D

gowhitesox99 - my brother dated a girl in high school who had an IROC. Wasn't a convertible, but it was still awesome.

Billabong - my trail rig is a ZJ. It's the V8, lifted, with 33's. I love wrenching on all my cars, but the ZJ is probably the one with the most work into it!

Old ambulance jackets make great work clothes! And latex gloves are a must for those messy wheel bearings...

My wife's car is actually pretty short, so it makes my truck seem larger than it really is.

But yeah, it's still pretty large in it's own right.
