bottom one has more usb plus firewire.. i would need some more firewire plus a couple more usb

Do you use your computer to watch TV much? If that's your best TV, then take the top one. If it's not an issue, then it's pretty much a push between them. Firewire is nice if you have (or plan to have) something that will take advantage of the speed of the connection. Getting it in the system saves you buying and installing it later. The 8 vs 11-in-1 media reader depends on whether you have media that one reads and the other doesn't. Also, look at the applications you plan on using with the computer (presumably games) and see which graphics card will work better today and projected into tomorrow.
