Isn't ET suppose to be a standalone game and not a mod?

Whenever it actually comes out.., it should be a free downloadable add-on.... but after installing the ..."ahem" leaked beta.. (please look into other posts for the link).. the install did actually put itself into a separate folder and launches from a separate location alltogether.. Sooo... I would now have to say that it will be the free, new and improved Enemy Territory "standalone"... RTCW not needed.

your right, they said that from the start "enemy territory, the stand alone expansion......." I read, its called a stand alone expansion because its wolf, its basically superwolf. it is meant to expand the current game, but you could just get the new one, this way improving their customer base.

There's no point in downloading an ILLEGAL, OUTDATED, BUGGY, OLD PROTOCAL version of a game which has an official demo release.

ET is everywhere and stand alone from what I can tell, have it, and see a bunch of people playing. Got on for about 15 minutes. Looks great!
