Bottom line; he's an idiot who should never use a computer, Apple or Windows-based, for the rest of his natural life.

He's a "Systems Engineer". Oh, OK...like I'm supposed to now think you're some kind of genius.

He spilled something in it, no doubt. I saw tha machine for a few seconds and there was more encrusted snot and finger-prints on the cover for me to think he never took care of it. He probably pissed on it one night after a drunken stupor and was embarrassed to admit it.

Maybe next time his video will a little better made. And maybe even funny.

Nice work Buli...have anymore useless URL posts?

Then I can see why you lost your SPAM title.

At least Parrot has something to say in his posts.

Even if it is gibberish ;)

As for the mac; those macs are pretty sturdy and from past experience of dealing with broken macs which have been repaired above and beyond the call (they replaced my sisters laptop keyboard on warranty even though it shouldn't have been covered cos she removed it herself) I'd say if they say it's spill damage then that's good enough for me. I'll take their word over the word of this muppet and his collection of geek weaponry...

I'm not sure "sturdy" is a term I'd use for any laptop, but they're not fragile. I'm sure that dope spilled something on it...he's just too stupid to admit it and thought he had an excuse to make himself "famous" online.

As far as I'm concerned, he's not famous and he's advertizing to the world how incredibly average he is.

And at least I got Buli to say something. He said more in that last post than he had in his previous 13 posts.

Congrats, Parrot, on showing him how it's really done.

** Edit** Know what's interesting, some cell phones now come with a strip of material that changes color when it contacts liquid. Now they have proof a phone's been damaged by water exposure. I had a conversation with Verizon recently about a faulty phone, and they insisted I look for "a red strip iunder the battery". I was dumd-founded since I couldn't see one. Later in the conversation the tech on the phone told me why she asked me to look for that.

Pretty smart, IMO. Now people can't deny water damage.

yup i work for Verizon, the little dot turns pink or red if water is spilled on it, if the spot is red, you can lie all you want, but water hit it.

That little dot that will turn red if you move the phone from a nice cold air conditioned environment to a hot, humid environement, say Florida/Louisiana in the summer if you happen to have the battery cover off. Condensation will build up on the phone; same goes for computers. Although most computers are made of plastic the metal parts tend to get nice and wet. So it is possible to have water damage without spilling anything on your electronics.

I'm not saying this guy is telling the truth but it is possible to get moisture inside the computer without actually spilling anything on it.

As a side note, his laptop had finger-prints on the outside of the case which is to be expected given the material it is made out of.

Well sturdys a relative term but compared to most pc laptops I have seen I the macs certainly seem to have a greater degree of survivability. Lord knows my sister treats hers with near contempt and it still smiles on.

Like Darknut I wonder how sensitive that is. Say for example it's in your pocket on a really hot day and you are sweating that's gonna produce condensation. But would that be enough to turn the strip red? If so it's bs.

Either way I am betting that he was dumb enough to send his mac off for repair still smelling of the strawberry milk he spilt on it and you can't prove it, he destroyed the evidence :P
