All I want is some variety.
If everyone loves beach, this map is similar.
Everytime I ask for DDAY2, the responses are: "noone has it" and "we only play GOTY maps".
There are 4 links to get the map, 1 problem solved. some of the old timers probably have it already. And the second response is an admin issue.
All I want is some feedback if people are interested in playing another variation of beach.
If you read this post, please post a ya or nay for DDAY2 map.
I can't get the map into the rotation without some help.
If you don't have it, download it, launch multiplayer and start a server and check it out.
You only fail when you don't try.
Do I need to resort to bribary?
Who plays the bill for the server?
PLEASE HELP, IT WILL BE WORTH IT.

Hey, I love that map too. I used to play it constantly on ShreddedWheat's server years ago.

Noone has the map anymore though. Everytime I put it on, the server is emptied . So you end up with like maybe 3 on 3....not fun. I agree with you that it's not difficult to download the map, but half of players don't come to the forum here and the ones that do can't figure out how to install a map. It's one of the main reasons I turned on the automatic map downloads. Then you have the ones who do let it finish downloading from the server and then have no clue about the layout of the map etc, so you have to let them figure it out for a while. The players who do know the map just end up getting frustrated and leave as well. Custom maps just don't work well on this server because of these reasons.

I really really wish the fast downloads on ET were on rtcw as well.

Beach is getting boring now with the same people playing axis all the time camping the same old spots... Axis camping and allies camping too....
Atleast the other goty maps should be in rotation again.
Concerning dday its a fantastic map and it sucks that no one is willing to put it in rotation

my point exactly
Beach is boiled chicken
DDay2 is an alternative that is like beach but not beach
Look at how many servers are active. any night there are 10 - 12 servers and some are private.
Want to keep wolf alive, (marketing) try DDAY2 map
It's a great map, MAA said so, so put it in the rotation
If you don't have it, then you got RTCW for christmas, 7 yrs after it was released, (the gift giver really hates you)

Hello, since this is my first post here let me start with a thanks for running an excellent RTCW server. These forums are pretty cool too, I'll look around .

The DDay2 matches last night were very good. I never played it before.
I think it's a great map for when the server has over 30 players. For noobs on the map, like me, it was based off of the Beach map so ppl would have a basic idea of where to go. New maps are like buying a new game. The same maps over and over, while I wouldn't say get boring, they just are that, "the same".

RTCW is the greatest game ever:ar15:

A huge thank you to Man at Arms for running DDAY2 last Saturday night.
I loved the irony that MAA won the first match.
I was too drunk to really enjoy the game, let alone fiqure out what was happening.
I hope all had fun and it can get into the rotation. I saw peeps joining and I think all had fun.

I'll try not to be so annoying requesting the map.

Thanks again.

It was run last night when I got on. I've played the map before but for some reason it seems like it was on that other, bad version of wolf...ET. There were some idiots bitching about it but imho they can just go to another server to play the same map.

now what about kung fu grip? if you can throw that in there some it would awesome (not to say that you aren't already awesome MAA)

Kung Fu already is on the server; I know Slaughter loads it up occasionally. I really don't like it so you won't see me load it ;) but I'd gladly play dday2 again. That was fun.
