I signed on to the ECGN server back in the day, (it was cool to play against 64 peeps) circa late 01??? I needed a kick ass name, just saw that old school WWF SGT Slaughter being interviewed (channel surfing), I hated SGT but used the Slaughter part, thought for being my first and mostly only MP game it sounded cool...so here I am 8 yrs later, after many config changes, finally have one I have stuck with for about 5 years...about 5 yrs ago, started to really understand the game (team play, back up, knowing where enemy is, using head phones, and a kick ass mouse)..... The guys on my clan like to change there names about every 3 months, just to keep it fun, usually during in game, eco will pm me saying its someones turn to make one up, my last name I made up was OS for ole sckool lol

BTW I play with the right side of keyboard with arrows, kinda weird but can't get used to the adws thing, they seem to close here are my keys

uhh.. on my standard keyboard, my shift button is right next to z... being closely situated near wasd... with my fingers placed on wad, the pinky rests comfortably on the shift button...

they're talking about using the arrow keys and where the sprint button is in relation to them. using wasd, the locational equivalent would be using the tab key as sprint.

I used to use arrow keys too up until several months ago. took about a month but now I couldn't even switch back to the arrow keys if I tried.

I used to play as SlowMotion on 56k dialup. I became friends with a guy named AFA AssGoblin who, even though a young whipper-snapper, was a big Iron Maiden fan like myself. If he was on a server I would change my name to something Maiden-related and see if he would figure out it was me. PowerSlave was the name I happened to be using when I met the incredibly cool TAO guys and paid them big bucks to use the tags. Not a bad name since it's my favorite album. Considering my age, some think =TAO=AncientMariner would have been more appropriate.

@Slaughter... I'm an arrow guy too, which explains why a rarely crouch. Too much trouble to reach for that C, and too lazy to remap.. lol

my pinky is always on the right shift (sprint)...unless I'm reloading goes to the right ctrl key.....middle finger on forward, which goes to left strafe and back, also the insert key to get nade, and also to hit delete which is my drop weapon, and my left index finger always on right strafe, my ring finger, can hit enter which is my crouch, my index finger hits the ins (med packs), and the end key for my needle, and hitting my 2 key brings me back to weaponbank2 I am mainly left handed so it works well, I have a generic keyboard that has all the keys listed above very close so it makes sense to me, and I take advantage of the number keys far right as well....I bought a zboard pretty recent ago, I hated it, it was at a weird angle and all the keys were so very close couldn't rem what I last hit, anyone want it pm me

so that means your left hand is on the wasd and ur mouse is on the right hand?? I guess your right handed? I'm left handed and I have my right hand on the arrows, while my pinky picks the weapons (nade, needle, etc using the numberpad) and my four other fingers do the brunt of the work. While my left hand is on the two button dell mouse. Playing on the letter keys is near impossible for my dell keyboard, because I'd end up hitting the wrong buttons. Dont know how you people play like that.

pinky is on right shift, I play all far right on keyboard with arrow keys, and keys above arrow, and the number keys to far right...............lol right hand is on mouse (G9), all locked in with a nice mouse pad with a wrist holder

Started in

Jan 2006 - Started 1.33 as Monkeypatch, then X-Patch, Z-Sandman then finally I come up with a name called Hayling. Hayling is actually from a music soundtrack called 'The Hayling' made by FC Kahuna, from the Album "Machine says Yes".

I only did one clan before leaving in July.

After that I have the permanent name from since mid 2006. Before moving to 1.41 in september to play Ganja Palace then eventually meet you guys up at ECGN.
