Kicked for no reason?

So I was just playing for awhile, then left because of the lag. Then I saw in Qtracker that my ping was normal and rejoined.

Then got immediately kicked with the message "Stop rejoining". I figured it was a mistake and rejoined (:roll:) and people started yelling at me. One guy said "ARA REJOINING!". I decided I'd better leave before I got kicked again and ask here.

What the hell was that about?

Rejoining to get more lives because you skulled is a kickable offence, the fact that no-one could get to your testicles just means they had to kick you from the server instead...

Oh and please, the 'I just left because of the lag, or because the phone rang, or because my family pet died, or because Jesus was smiting some homosexuals outside, or because the Chinese invaded. or because my wife was making too much noise getting jiggy with the pool boy, or because nobody loves me and I wanted to hug the mailman' type excuses are old hat, we've heard them all before...

Oh and for the record being a good player has nothing to do with being a good admin, we've had good players that were awful admins and admins who couldn't hit the broadside of a barn who were superb admins. I'd say in fact that moderately good players make the best admins as they are in the best place to assess the needs of the better players as well as the noobs, it's all about balance.

Whatever you say chief, the round had just started and I don't think I died once when I first disconnected because my ping was 500. I reconnected like 5 minutes later.

Since you brought it up though, "skulling" is retarded.

When playing axis, leaving for 5 minutes and rejoining, you are almost guaranteed to have 5 lives left with 12 minutes, whereas when you left you had 14 lives with 18 minutes left. Just throwing it out there.

I'm sure admins are aware of this because when I rejoin I have 0 problems.

It is a bit annoying when my router dies and I go 999, then reconnect a few minutes later only to get banned/kicked/etc. I have no problem with it if it's late in the round, but i've gone 999 and reconnected with 20 minutes left in the round and gotten punished for rejoining. Surely nobody can burn through 20 lives in 2 minutes.

Just as a general guideline...join allies and no-one gives a shit. But then that means you don't get to whore for KR so I guess better to wait in spec till you can get on axis again

True. I usually do this. Although sometimes people get mad because I switched teams (if I was on axis when I got d/c).
