Kicking for cl_timenudge -10?

Whats going on here? I haven't played on ECGN for a few weeks and now I'm getting kicked for having my timenudge set to -10?

I'm aware that some people think that extreme timenudge values might make someone harder to hit, but that really isn't how it works. All timenudge does is effect the amount of interpolation your client does between updates from the server. Setting it to negative values decreases that interpolation and forces your client to process updates quicker. If set properly, it will give you a more accurate representation of where players are in the gameworld. Set too low (past -20 really) the lack of clientside interpolation means you perceive other players to be warping around a bit as their position only changes when your client recieves an update from the server. Timenudge does NOT affect how other players see you, nor how their hits register.

Setting the value to -10 is a very normal thing to do to adjust slightly for lag.

Exactly, I felt wolf died for me tonight with these new settings it´s unplayable as european.

Server have been running fine for years now this?
Can you plz wait 40 days to wolf 2 come out! :clap:

Depthbits at the proper setting can be used for a wallhack this has been known for years and its why there were restrictions in most leagues.

i've always used 0 timenudge and 24 or 32 depthbits so i haven't had any problems. i don't really care about timenudge but i agree with the depthbits restrictions, there is no need to use any other than 24 or 32 and that was also the cvar restriction in league play. it doesn't really matter though. the only new cvar restriction i thought was necessary was limiting fps at 125.

MAA changed the settings temporarily because SShooter kept pestering him to see if these settings would make it more fair for the Europeans with high pings. He said it'll only be for a few days and then he'll change it back.

and the r_texturebits 0 explain why I'm able to see through walls when players are pressed against it?

Makes sense, and it makes sense why some players know more about the locations of other players because of that setting. Freaking messiah... Theres too much crap in this game to give a 1-up on other players.

ie timenudge, which after arachyds explanation I'm still baffled on how it works...

He pissed, sense all thing that change I have in my cfg And it´s make it playble as eurpoean. SO NOOOOOO it not any FAIR to EU player sence they will have even harder to kill US player!!!!!!


Especally timenudge makes it impossible to play without, (150ping).

Can you shout if it´s goes back here, so perhaps I can play again.
Played etqw last night today, installing ET again after 3 years :no:

From the UK here and if anything I got less randomness, less kills of someone who wasnt anywhere near my cross hair, less lag spike, and more accuracy.

The notion that this affected you negatively as a euro is simply untrue.

You having 150 in ping?. No I dont think so more likely 90-110

Well the game was fun before yesterday, and been that for several years!

snaps 40 rate 25000 max fps? was 500 and still is, will not change it I will rather let wolf die instead.

No max packets not fps.

High pingers needs to drop snaps/rate and max packets -

I use

Rate 15000
Snaps 20
CL_maxpackets 60

If I'm on a sup 50 ping I'll use snaps 40, rate 25000 and maxp 100.

Out of interest what timenudge did you use?

Variable max packet 30 to 100 depend how it feel when you shoting.

Most important for me is timenudge -20 (-10,-30)next is fps 333 i get kicked from.
What cvars comes next? I dont have the time to wait and see should a be nice to know all cvar that are change so you dont have go to server and get kicked all time.

Do I have to put in a Osp cfg, and have no fun at all! lol
