It's all very simple imo.

Harder bullets:
Because of better registration, it now takes less bullets to make a frag.
Hence "harder bullets" - it's just an anology for me to explain and hopefully for you to understand better.

(A sidenote: I don't understand why so many people in general when trying to explain something and the other person don't understand. They raise their voice and repeat what they just said. If the person didn't understood the first time, why would screaming help them understand better? One have to try an other way to explain. It's called - pedagogy)

Accuracy:
Almost same as above.
Because of better registration, you don't have to shoot a whole clip hitting 10-15 bullets to make a frag. Hence accuracy is dropping a bit.
Do you want higher accuracy?
- Shoot for the body, it's easier to hit and it takes more bullets to make a frag then compared to the head.
You want even higher accuracy?
- Gib with the smg.

Last week on ventrilo MAA said to me:
"We'll see if you'll get more headshots after this"
So before the stats reset yesterday, i only focused on shooting for headshots for a couple of days.
And here's the results:

:yes::badger::yes:
Back in the days, I recall the player -TT-Cyborg was shooting like this all the time.
I was a noob and thought he was one of those "hackers". Clearly i was wrong.

It also show that with a higher hs ratio, accuracy drops. And vice versa.

Lol I told you you were wrong on that one. Cyborg used to practice...a lot. Hackers don't need to practice.

Maybe I should turn off unlag and set the max ping back to 125 like it was before. That should cover the US broadband players and noone who can get on the server will have anything to say about it. Problem solved.

for some reason i am hitting way less headshots =/

and tbh im finding it a lot harder to hit high pingers - moreso then before. people like cubes are near impossible to hit

If you did that I would love you forever. I'm pretty sure the weird shooting has been the result of the unlag somehow. And it doesn't even work properly - extremely high ping players usually seem to be far harder to kill, but the unlag compensates for the handicaps on their end.

Really, I don't see why anyone with a 200 ping needs to be on the server.

If that's what you want, sure.

i prefer antilag on because i am west and always have 100 ping. sure antilag isn't perfect but i prefer playing with it when my ping is high.
it seems to me that most of the people who complain about it have good ping, like 50 and under. sorry but i had 100+ ping always when i played in competition and it sucked ass. so i couldn't care less if 50 ping player shots decline a tiny bit just because antilag is on.
it's just a pub, and the majority of the players are better off with antilag on.

I hope your joking Donny, it would drive away most of the Euros and that would pretty much kill the server as they make up roughly half the community thats left.

Current settings seem fine and only a handful at most seem to be complaining from what I have seen

i'm actually going to have to agree with gamb.

antilag is turned off right now and it sucks.

Well MAA final decision so it doesn't matter, I'll still play for the love of the game. But I have noticed a drop in accuracy among the players who I have spoke to, and players who didn't know that anti-lag was turned off realized something was different when shots were not registering.

Either way, I think ECGN beach 24/7 is the last remaining NA in rtcw. It would be a shame to restrict players based on geographical limits.

Guys, registration is as its supposed to be now. The "drop in accuracy" is just how the game is supposed to be. Antilag fucks up registration royally and artificially jacks up accuracy.

You might notice that while its slightly harder to spray and pray, actual hits count for a hell of a lot more. This is how the game is meant to be played, not the bizarre version that antilag creates.

i don't have a problem with that aspect of it. the problem now is that low pingers now have a much bigger advantage over high pingers. i'd be willing to suffer artificially increased accuray for a more even playing field. if not i'll probably just stop playing; not to sound like a poor sport but i played wolf with shit ping for years (no antilag) and have no wish to do it again.

did any other settings change when "resetting" the server back to the previous non-antilag settings? I played earlier tonight and found bullet registration to be way off (i'm a west-coaster, 100-120 pinger)...thought it may have just been me at first until other regs from the left coast came on and said the same thing. I tried adjusting my timenudge to -10 but didnt seem to help.
