I reinstalled RTCW and updated punkbuster. Been sheesh prolly 2-3 years but i wanted to jump on the beach.

When i try and join the game i get an error stating game code failed pure server check with some x86 dll error

HELP!!!

I am on win 7 also, i went through that other thread to check and it looks like I ran all the updates i think.

I ran the PB install and pointed it to my rtcw folder....

Run the game as administrator... right click rtcw icon and click on run as administrator

ok i got in but then got kicked cvar rate = 5000

also how do i change my name again

i got the pull down menu and did /name the weasel... but that didnt work

Pull down console and type /set name "your name"

just tried the name thing didnt work, remember you could add colors, somethign like up arrow and 1 was red or something....help me out here! step by step info!!

/set name the weasel

for the cvar rate i think it's just /rate 25000
