I used to get virtually no recoil on my old pc and crazy recoil on my new one even though it's the exact same config. So yeah I'd go along with fps being the major factor in that on.

likethat wrote:He is camping weapons banks. I would not say he looks like he is wall hacking at all. His aim gets close to the opponent but not enough to be fishy. I played Unreal Tournament and Quake III on invite LAN parties for years. Both are totally different game play versus RTCW. The mechanics of the games are similar but the way you play and the weapons damage are 2 different things. When you pick up weapons it makes sound, so camping is even easier then RTCW.
We played both games at 200% speed a lot, makes RTCW feel like your crawling on the ground. Running and gunning is a must. I like UT more then any game ever made for FPS. It's over 10 years old and still plays very very well.

You can't camp high level quake duels.

No, I was just saying writing a recoil function is sort of pointless. Yes I know what hooks are. LOL

I like people that post on here but have to use a different name from there in game name. That usually is a cause for suspicion that it is someone that is a caught cheater, or someone that has no credibility. There are bots out there can react similar to what is being talked about. FPS scripts are easy to make as well ,short range the higher the fps the faster u shoot, less recoil = less spread. But alot of it is down to the cvar settings for the server.

But do not be naive about cheats and motives for making them, just because a game is old and on its last legs does not mean nobody will make a cheat. For someone that portrays intelligence you sure act dumb.

At the end of the day you have no control, so live with it and enjoy or move on

There is no recoil on the smg/pistol. Only gun in RTCW it would effect is the mauser.

Anyway I tried to assist you guys and prove how retarded you all are but it seems you are the ones who are being naive and want to hide behind the delusion that every good player is hacking.

Yours Truly,
Some fucking hacker.

You all? Paint with a broad brush much? Most of us on the server don't say anything at all. But hey, generalizing is so much easier than using facts. Why so sensitive?

The recoil which produces the weapon spread. The simulated effect, not the actual variable calling.

Also, I'm pretty sure Dead Eye was joking...

But Gamb talking about high FPS making you shoot faster is still the best thing in this thread.

Recoil != weapon spread, like I said spread = serverside, recoil = clientside and a little bird told me someone always complains about Nigel using a 'no spread' script so I figured I would shed some light, I had a feeling deadeye was being sarcastic being that he's the man but what better time.

Also Huggy, if you're not one of them why get all twisted? To put it in your own (oh so original) words "Why so sensitive?" Anyway I tried to use facts but there's a reason why this thread is called 'The Hacker Delusion' anyway my hat's in the ring, your alternate reality.

Love,
A white named player who's better than you

A generalization master, and now a judge of originality! What other hidden talents await to be revealed?

By the way, please show the post where I "get all twisted." Thanks in advance.

Smells like caffeine.

Edit: Oh I get it now, my pointing out your lazy generalization is "getting twisted." I prefer to call it "correcting sloppy logic," but whatever floats your boat.

So there is no advantage to letting off the trigger? Spray and pray is the best policy? hmm

My post about spread script was in no way directed at nigel.. I was simply addding on to what he already wrote...
