Here's one from last week at the server. Most hack download sites tell you whether or not the hack has been detected. Yet they still try. Good to see that the 2008 final update of PB for RTCW still works for the older hacks though.

PBBans BanID: 194044Date: October 25, 2010 at 03:13 pm EDTGame: Rtn To Castle WolfensteinPB GUID: 768970d6ef18c22ef0ef02c4021310bbAlias: _lOzeR!User IP: 200.127.*.* (Argentina)Violation: VIOLATION (WALLHACK) 60316Server Info: 69.65.113.18:27960 (ECGN)

PB averages 100+ players caught every 24 hours trying to cheat at online video games. I don't think wanting an update to PB for RTCW is a ridiculous request.

Funny that the same players who are always being accused of bullshit are also the same people who could probably create their own video game judging from the amount of knowledge that they spread around about what controls this, what controls that. Why the need to know this shit for the average gamer? (notice I said "average gamer", I'm not talking about those of you who run actual servers).
Were the kills not coming fast enough for most of them?...apparently so.

just sayin'

btw: I have recieved a reply back from a Glenn C. from EvenBalance and he stated the following to me: "We will definitely look into their being something new out there that is circumventing PB, and will take the appropriate actions concerning it." .

Whether or not this means an official update is coming...probably not but you never know.
And if anything good can come from looking into it, maybe they won't think about dropping the game altogether.

yeah but unfortunately success doesn't come natural for everyone in life.

Take for instance the creation of steroids.

This is how you make a case that someone is hacking.

Slowmo demos and irc logs please.

I personally enjoy the challenge. I honestly don't know if these guys are hacking or not, but if they are, I look at them like the enemy and just try to play the game that much harder, as if my life depended on it. Makes it more fun sometimes. Remember, it's the game that's fun and these guys can still be beat my mature play, and above all, teamwork. We both know that you are definitely mature. LOL, J/K. We'll miss you if you leave. Hope you reconsider.

Of course people will start crying wolf when:

1. last largely played server in 1.4
2. great disparity in skill level in players where competition and osp > pub

Some of us put in 1000s of hours learning maps, competing in matches, scrimming, toying with our configs, practicing jumps, and playing against other tough players. There is also people with natural ability out there. Some of you have potential, but I would say it is laziness or a different mindset on level of play that sets many apart. I put a lot of work into learning the intricacies of the game, running servers where people could play, and generally enjoying making good friends. I'm sorry that some of you have to repetitively try to write-off the hard work of other players as cheating when you could possibly reach that level with the right commitment. Also, talking shit is a great part of the game to throw others off of theirs. Many of you know all of this, but I hardly ever feel inclined to post...

btw....uninstalling because you had a bad week or so is always an option, but those who choose to stay show a commitment to the community....also, who can argue that we are not playing one of the best fucking games around.

and please..if you are calling hacks....I would love to know wtf you are pointing your fingers at so I can get a good laugh.

8 years* playing on this server. i come, go, but never leave. things that bring me down, they tend to fade after a while. other games often invade my wolf, but i'll always come back. who remembers Keekanoo and the accompanying(sp?) drama? this game has been installed on 9 computers of mine, and all had ecgn in favorites. short of total world destruction or just ecgn shutting down the server, i don't think i'll ever stop playing here.

good times

cya after i'm done with New Vegas

::edit::

*maybe just 7.5 years*

Don't you worry yourself there bullz, I've played against you many times. You're not one of them.
Another player who thinks that they're one of the chosen few who put in 1000 hours to be good at this game.
WE ALL HAVE, and it's probably closer to 10,000 for nearly all of us left.

People can believe whatever they want to believe. Doesn't make a bit of difference to many of us what they believe. I know that it sure as hell doesn't to me. I've heard it all and seen it all.

With all of your tweaking and "toying", you guys have taken out the main function of a FPS, especially this one. Which imo is to be out-smarted and beat to the punch and most importantly to win the objective of the team. So you guys can keep "toying" and I'll keep winning.
This is a PUBLIC server, thanks for taking out the chance that anyone new to the game would actually stick around.
*Set the server so that nothing outside of the game menu can be adjusted and we'll see exactly what is what. I think many of you fear that ever happening.

Who was it who spammed "medicheated" last night after he left?...that cracked me up. I do know that it was an ASB guy... but they don't know how the game works huh?

Source, Nigel, Remedy, and Parcher would roll you with a stock config and a one button mouse. None of those four cheat. I don't think it's even that you can't imagine that someone might actually be that good at the game, it's that you just need to believe you're being cheated to feel better about things.

Also, Jim is saying that he's put thousands of hours into getting better, and you're saying the same. I respectfully disagree. Just because you've spent thousands of hours playing doesn't mean you've spent thousands of hours getting better. You've spent thousands of hours playing. He spent his hours playing against and with good players. You can't even strafe jump for fuck's sake, a basic mechanic of the game. I've scrimmed with and against Jim and he knows what's going on in this game. You don't. You can get all uppity and offended if you want. I don't care. This is just the truth. I wish it was you going away and not Meyer. I bet a decent portion of the server feels the same. You cause more grief and nonsense than any of the players that you think cheat.

And really, dude, if you're this serious and upset about it you should either get better or change games. I think you'd be surprised who'd be willing to help you if you actually asked and didn't just think you were good because you can run the docs on beach.
